What a fantastic day at our summer fair!🎉

From games and entertainment to delicious treats, music and lots of smiles, it was wonderful to see residents,families,friends, and staff coming together to celebrate and raise money for the Care Worker’s Charity (CWC).

Poplars Care Centre is currently recruiting Day Care Assistants and Night Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team.
What we offer:
• Competitive hourly rate: £12.82 per hour
• Overtime: £14.82 per hour
• Flexible contracts available:
o 33 hours per week
o 44 hours per week
o Bank (flexible) staff
About the Role:
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care, supporting residents with their daily living needs while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
We are looking for people who are:
• Kind, compassionate, and respectful
• Reliable and committed
• Excellent team players with good communication skills
• Passionate about delivering outstanding care

Phase 2 - The disco

The highlight of this month is our Annual fundraiser for Care Workers Charity (CWC) - The Retro day!
In the spirit of Dementia Awareness Week, we held the day to recollect those “Good old days”. Everyone dressed up in the aesthetics of 40s to 90s. And took quirky pictures behind the Photo Booth that the residents made. We also had a feel good disco party under luminous lights.

Our fire awareness walk was an insightful session for our residents, where they could see all the exits, smoke detectors, fire alarms and fire extinguishers. The nominated fire Marshalls stepped forward to even explain the protocol that they take in case of an emergency.
