Solar Eclipse Tonight
Today the 12th August, a solar eclipse lands in Leo. And not just any Leo moon. This is a Super New Moon, arriving right inside Lionsgate Portal season, when the sun, Sirius and the earth align to open what’s said to be one of the most potent windows in the astrological calendar.
A new moon plants seeds and attracts new beginnings. An eclipse accelerates everything. Put the two together under Lionsgate energy, and you get a night that doesn’t just invite change. It demands that you show up for it.
It is also a South Node eclipse, which means this is not simply about starting something new. South Node eclipses are traditionally associated with release, completion, karmic patterns, old identities and letting go of something that has run its course.
You may have already begun to feel like a chapter is coming to an end in your life. Perhaps, it now feels like it’s time to move forward into something new? Maybe some things have been coming up that you don’t like, old patterns, habits, feeling stuck in a job or relationship?
