Today we celebrate the birthday of Phyllis Lei Furumoto (1948–2019), granddaughter of Hawayo Takata and recognised as the Lineage Bearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho.

Phyllis dedicated her life to carrying forward the practice and spirit of Reiki, sharing its essence with compassion, authenticity, and deep integrity.

Her vision and teaching helped shape Reiki as we know it today, creating bridges across cultures and uniting practitioners worldwide. Through her guidance, countless students and teachers were inspired to connect more deeply with Reiki and with themselves.

We remember her with gratitude for the light she brought into the world, and for the legacy she entrusted to all of us in the Reiki community. Thank you ✨💜
