Sepsis recovery doesn’t always end when someone leaves the hospital, unfortunately.
For many people, getting home after sepsis is a huge relief, but recovery can be a long and difficult journey. Sepsis can leave the body and mind exhausted. Some people experience extreme tiredness, weakness, breathlessness, poor sleep, anxiety, low mood or difficulties with memory and concentration. Others may need time and support to rebuild their strength and confidence. Coming home is not necessarily the end of recovery. It can be the beginning of a new stage, one where patience, reassurance and the right support can make a real difference.
I know that recovery can look different for everyone. If you or someone you love is recovering after sepsis and needs support at home, we’re here to help.
We provide compassionate and personalised home support so people regain confidence and independence. 👑🇬🇧
