Marion Jorgensen

Marion Jorgensen Are you suffering from anxiety, trauma, depression and all the other things we can struggle with in Welcome to my therapy practice. With warm wishes,

Marion 🌿

For over 28 years, I've had the privilege of helping people create lasting change through Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, understanding, insight and compassion. I work with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, addictions and many of life's emotional challenges. My approach is warm, practical and compassionate, helping you understand not only what is

keeping you stuck, but why, so together we can create meaningful, lasting change rather than simply managing symptoms. I believe therapy should empower you with greater self-awareness, confidence and the tools to move forward with hope and resilience. Alongside my therapy practice, I'm also an author and the founder of Amber & Wild, where I create retreats, workshops and resources that encourage personal growth, wellbeing and deeper connection. I work with clients throughout the UK and internationally via Zoom, offering a safe, supportive and confidential space where lasting change can happen.

**Creating lasting change through understanding, insight & compassion.**

If you'd like to find out more or explore how we might work together, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

🌸 Have you ever looked around your garden and suddenly realised… it has been growing while you’ve been busy living?

I was watering the garden today and it struck me how many flowers had quietly come into bloom without me really noticing.

Life can be a bit like that.

We spend so much time getting through the days that we sometimes miss the small changes happening all around us… and within us.

It made me wonder…

What have you been so busy doing that you almost forgot to notice? 🌿

🌺 When did you stop believing one of your dreams could still happen?

Life has a way of becoming busy.

We work.

We care for other people.

We put our own dreams to one side and tell ourselves…

“Maybe one day.”

Then one day quietly becomes years.

Looking at this photograph of my mum reminds me how precious time really is. She always believed in me, even when I doubted myself.

This week I finished writing the fourth of my five books.

It reminded me that dreams do not disappear because we grow older.

Sometimes they are simply waiting for us to begin.

Maybe there is still a dream waiting for you too. 💜

🌺 When was the last time you sat somewhere…

Without feeling you should be doing something?

No rushing.

No list.

No one needing anything from you.

Just a few quiet moments where nothing needed fixing.

We spend so much of our lives trying to find peace…

Sometimes we simply have to stop interrupting it.

Maybe you deserve to give yourself a moment of peace. 💙

🌸 Hello, I thought I would reintroduce myself. 🌸 It is often easier to be kind to everyone else than it is to be kind to ourselves.

I have worked as a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist for over 28 years, and one thing I have noticed is that people rarely come to therapy because they are "broken."

They come because they have been carrying too much for too long.

Anxiety.
Overthinking.
Low confidence.
Relationship difficulties.
Stress.
Panic attacks.
Past experiences that still affect them today.

Sometimes people tell me, "I should be able to cope." But coping and living are two very different things.

Therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about helping you reconnect with the person you were before anxiety, self doubt, fear or difficult life experiences convinced you that you had to become someone else.

You do not have to struggle on your own.

If you have been thinking about talking to someone, perhaps this is your sign to take that first small step.

📍 Face to face in Maldon, Essex, or online across the UK.

Alongside my therapy practice, I am also an author and founder of Amber and Wild. I am passionate about creating books, retreats, guided meditations and a personal development card deck to help people continue their journey of growth beyond the therapy room.

Feel free to send me a message if you would like an informal chat about how I may be able to help.

When did you start believing you were too much? 😔

So you spoke a little quieter.

Apologised a little more.

Questioned yourself before you spoke.

Made yourself easier for everyone else.

I wonder who convinced you that being less of yourself made you easier to love.

What if the person you've been hiding...
is the person the world has been waiting to meet?

This is me (in the stripey top 😊) with my oldest friend Caroline and her sister Deborah. I don’t know how old I was here, but somehow we’ve reached the grand old age of 66 together.

When I wrote the words above, I realised I wasn’t just writing a Facebook post.

I was writing about the little girl in this photograph. ♥️🌺

For many years I believed I had to make myself smaller.

Quieter and sometimes silent.

Easier.

Less of a problem.

Those beliefs shaped so many of my choices.

The lovely thing is… they don’t have to shape the rest of my life… or yours.

And through it all, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have a friend who has walked beside me, understood me, and quietly cheered me on every step of the way.

Some friendships really do last a lifetime. ❤️

People say, “You have to love yourself first.” 🌺

But what if you don’t?

What if you’ve spent years noticing everything that’s wrong with you?

The bits that are too much.

The bits that aren’t enough.

Maybe loving yourself feels like a very long way away.

If that’s you, then maybe from today onwards… … you could simply be a little kinder to yourself.♥️

When did you stop doing the things you used to love? 🌺

Not deliberately.

They just quietly slipped away.

The music you used to play. The things you used to make. The places you used to go.

Life got busy. Other things became more important.

And one day, without really noticing, you stopped.

I wonder what part of you…

is still waiting to be picked up again?

You get home after seeing someone and suddenly your brain starts going back through the conversation. Why did I say that?...

You get home after seeing someone and suddenly your brain starts going back through the conversation.

Why did I say that?

Did that sound stupid?

I wonder if they thought I was rude.

Perhaps I talked too much.

The other person has probably gone home, made a cup of tea and is watching television.

Meanwhile, you are conducting a full investigation into a conversation they have barely thought about. 😆

I think sometimes we call this overthinking.

But underneath it can be something much simpler.

You are checking whether you were acceptable.

Whether you got it right.

Whether they still like you.

And I often wonder what would happen if, instead of asking, “Did they like me?”…

We started asking, “Did I like who I was when I was with them?”

🌈✉️ Letters from the Road #4 ✉️🌈

The gardens slowly gave way to stone.

As I walked on from that place of warmth and rest, the land began to change again. The ground firmed beneath my feet. Paths straightened. Walls appeared, low at first, then higher, guiding the road into clearer lines.

🏛️ In the distance, a city rose from the earth, not sprawling or chaotic, but solid and deliberate. Its towers were built of pale stone, its gates wide and open, yet unmistakably defined.

I felt myself respond without thinking.
My back straightened.
My pace steadied.
Something in me prepared.

At the city entrance stood a figure I recognised before I knew why.

🪨 He was taller now, broader in presence, his clothing structured and simple. Gone were the shifting fabrics of the bridge and the rich colours of the tavern. Here there was weight. Ground. Stillness.

He did not greet me warmly or dismiss me coldly.
He simply stood, steady as the stone beneath him.

“This city holds what it needs to hold,” he said.
“It cannot carry what does not belong here.”

I followed him through wide streets laid with intention. Everything had its place. Markets were busy but ordered. Homes stood close, protective rather than crowded. There was safety here, but it came from limits, not excess.

⚖️ I noticed how different this felt from control.
There was no tension in the walls.
No vigilance.
Just clarity.

“You have learned how to receive,” he said as we paused at a high terrace overlooking the city.
“Now you must learn what is yours to carry, and what is not.”

The words landed quietly, firmly.

I thought of the bridge.
The tavern.
The garden.

How often I had confused responsibility with worth.
How easily structure had become armour rather than support.

💫 As I left the city, I felt neither restricted nor free, but something steadier than both. Supported. Held by edges rather than pushed by fear.

At the edge of the road, where stone met soil once more, the bird returned.

🐦 It perched on the city wall, feathers dark against the pale stone, eyes bright and watchful.

It offered this before lifting away
Boundaries are not walls. They are what allow you to stand.

I walked on, carrying that with me.

I will write again.
