I’ve seen it so many times before.. you’ve spent a fortune on a brand new saddle that fits like a glove, you work with a brilliant vet and your horse has been seen by them multiple times, you’ve got a fantastic instructor and have regular lessons, you put the time in training at home, you have a great farrier on a 5 week cycle, they get plenty of turnout and they’re fed a top diet with every supplement they could wish for … and you’re STILL not getting the results you want 🤯😫😭

This is where bodywork comes in 💪🏼 and it’s often the missing piece of the puzzle that makes all of your efforts with everything else pay off!

If you’d like more info on how we can work together, please get in touch 📲 07528 721 313

I can’t cope 🥹🥲😭🩷🥰🥹😭🥲🥰🩷 the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen!

Hoping for better news for Lily this week 🤞🏼 in the mean time I’m just going to sit and stare at them and think about how much I love them ❤️

Your horse feels dreamy on the left rein but on the right rein all ideas of balance go out of the window, they’re falling in through the shoulder, the contact is unstable and feels heavy, the hind end engine shuts down, you can’t get the correct canter lead (or even a canter at all) and it feels like your riding an argumentative wooden plank.. not fun!!

This isn’t something that needs more training or more gadgets/training aids (please no gadgets!!!) it’s your horse trying to tell you something is uncomfortable. Tight muscles, restricted joints, fascial tension, previous injuries, saddle fit issues, hoof balance and body asymmetry can all contribute to unevenness between reins.. and this is where a whole horse approach is so crucial!

I combine multiple different therapies and techniques to provide a really bespoke treatment to your individual horse and the whole horse is always considered. A horse that’s free from pain & restriction and can move freely will be much more comfortable, and in turn much easier to ride.

If you and your horse are struggling with this please don’t keep trying to battle on, pop me a message and we can discuss how I can help 🖤

All appointments with me include any treatment using the Apollo Veterinary Class 3b Laser (if required) - but here’s what I use it for and why it’s so beneficial ⬇️

⚡️ The benefits:
▫️ Promotes faster healing by stimulating cell regeneration
▫️ Reduces inflammation and pain
▫️ Improves circulation to targeted areas
▫️ Supports recovery from injury/strain/overuse
▫️ Helps improve and maintain comfort & performance

🩺 Commonly used for:
▫️ Tendon & ligament injuries/sprains/tears
▫️ Back pain and muscle soreness
▫️ Joint inflammation (arthritis/synovitis/recent injury)
▫️ Wound healing
▫️ Splints
▫️ Capped hocks
▫️ Poll and neck tension
▫️ Headshaking
▫️ Post-competition recovery or pre-competition prep

Very basic science: 🧪👇🏼
▶️ Light delivered into the tissue
↪️ Cells are stimulated to increase circulation
🔀 Increased circulation means more oxygen and nutrients are delivered to the area and toxins & waste are quickly removed
⏸️ The increase in circulation reduces pain
🔁 The light boosts mitochondrial activity and increases ATP production - this is what “charges” the cells to speed up healing

Result 🟰 less inflammation, less pain, faster tissue repair!

It’s a completely non invasive and relaxing treatment that horses love (they usually fall asleep) and it can make a big difference to their recovery and just general wellbeing ✨ plus there’s no downtime involved!

If you’ve got any questions or are wondering if it could benefit your horse please DM me 📲

A little reminder on how to book an appointment with me! 💻📱

I use for all of my appointments and couldn’t run my practice without it. Thanks to EquiGate you’ll receive appointment reminders, you’ll get beautifully laid out treatment reports, you can pay me on card and you can contact me via message (I reply first on EquiGate!)

It also allows me to send reports to your vet if required, and I can store any vet notes/x-rays/chiro reports etc. to your horses profile and everything is safely kept in one place.

Here’s what NOT to do after a bodywork session for your horse (and the same goes for most therapies) ⬇️

1. Riding after the session (the same day) 🐎
Although in some (rare) circumstances this may actually be a benefit, most of the time it’s a bad idea. Your therapist will advise on what’s best for your specific horse, but most of the time things need to settle after a treatment and working the horse won’t allow tissues to rest and reset.

2. Not doing your homework 📚
I can’t say this one loud enough - if you pay your practitioner £50/£60/£70/£80 for their advice, and you don’t follow it, you’re going to pay them the same amount next time for them to tell you exactly the same thing. The best results happen when exercises are continued between appointments.

3. Not having regular sessions & expecting a one time quick fix 🔧
Unfortunately as much as we’d love to think we can fix everything in one 45 minute session, it’s just not realistic and true improvements take time and consistency. Regular bodywork keeps problems at bay - healthy tissue is much less likely to get injured. Prehab is a little bit of work now and rehab is a lot of work later, which would you prefer?!

If your horse hasn’t seen a bodyworker for a while, let me help!

Firstly, can we cope with Shetland snoots? No we absolutely can’t. I met this little guy and wanted to bring him home (standard).

I thought I’d do a little update as there’s so much going on at the moment, and I haven’t really posted much the last few weeks 🤣

I can’t believe 2025 is nearly over - it’s been such a great year, but 2026 is going to be next level. I’ve spent the last few months really investing in the business and learning SO much, and there’s still more to come between now and the end of the year. I’ve really knuckled down on anatomy and biomechanics, I’ve attended an equine dissection that was absolutely mind blowing (but also really difficult at the same time) and I’ll have travelled almost the full length of the country attending CPD days & courses. So in 2026 you’re going to see three new treatments, a huge upgrade to an existing treatment, and my usual manual therapy now backed by a whole new world of knowledge and some new techniques included.

I’ll post more about each of the new treatments very soon! I do have some limited room to take new clients on at the moment, so if you’re interested in booking an appointment please let me know as soon as possible.

I must admit this is an almost daily occurrence with every client irrespective of whether the pony is new or I’ve met them 100 times 🙂 I am who I am 🥲
