It has come to our attention that there has been a mail drop across various parts of Ryedale regarding free prescription deliveries. This has been causing quite a bit of confusion for patients so we just wanted to clarify that this letter:
❌ IS NOT from the NHS
❌ IS NOT from one of the local community pharmacies
This letter is from a Distance Selling Pharmacy based in York. If the enclosed form is completed this will then switch your prescription nomination to them, which everyone has the choice to do, but it does mean you won't be getting your prescription through your normal means.
We have had a lot of phone calls and people asking in the pharmacy so thought best to try and let people know as there have been a number of people expecting their prescription here but it isn't as the nomination has changed.
