๐๐ What an amazing time we have had at Blossom House! ๐๐
Our annual beach trip was truly special and touched the hearts of so many of our residents. The sights, sounds and feeling of the seaside brought back many treasured memories. One very special 106-year-old resident said:
๐ฌ โI never thought I would see the sea and sand again.โ
Moments like this remind us just how important meaningful trips are. They help residents reconnect with happy memories, stimulate the senses and create wonderful new experiences to treasure. ๐ฅน๐
We also enjoyed a visit to Little Owl Farm, one of our favourite places! ๐๐ด๐ท Spending time with animals can bring comfort, reduce anxiety and encourage conversation, engagement and lots of smiles.
Back at home, our residents enjoyed a gardening session, and our vegetable patch is now in full bloom! ๐ฑ๐ฅ๐ป Gardening gives everyone a sense of purpose and achievement while helping us stay connected to nature and the changing seasons.
We also stepped back in time with a fascinating trip to the Black Country Living Museum. ๐ญ๐ Exploring familiar sights and stories from the past is a wonderful way to encourage reminiscence and celebrate the lives and experiences of our residents.
Finally, we have been keeping active and enjoying the sunshine on the adaptive bicycles! ๐ฒโ๏ธ Staying active supports mobility, strength and wellbeingโand, most importantly, it is great fun!
Time spent with precious memories, fresh air, friendship, laughter and meaningful experiences. This is what living well is all about. ๐๐ธ
