One of my favs to pierce ✨

My client had booked in for an industrial piercing, however I quickly determined she didn’t have the right anatomy for such a heavy piercing.

After consultation, we both agreed that this faux industrial with a chain instead of a bar would be the best fit for her. It’s turned out so cute ❤️

Part of body piercing is managing peoples expectations and sometimes having to tell them the piercing they want, isn’t right for them.

When this happens I always do my best find a solution, something that will work better and still make the client happy. I never push clients into having a piercing, if you can’t have the one you want and can’t think in-vision something else, that’s fine!

In this case, we found a perfect compromise and it’s a lovely, more delicate alternative to industrial.

Let’s talk about what’s normal when healing a nose piercing.

Mild redness & swelling is normal, especially during the first few days. Some tenderness is also completely normal.

Expect some clear or pale fluid. Your body produces lymph as part of the healing process. This can dry around the jewellery and form small crusties.

Occasional itching is a common complaint with nose piercings. As your piercing heals, it may feel itchy from time to time. Try not to scratch or pick at it!

Tenderness if knocked is normal. Even if your piercing feels fine day-to-day, it can still be sensitive if caught, bumped or moved.

Ups and downs — piercings don’t heal in a perfectly straight line. It’s normal for irritation, swelling or crusting to come and go throughout healing.

Remember: healing takes time! A nose piercing can take several months to fully heal, so just because it looks great doesn’t mean it’s completely healed

Hello from Turkey 🇹🇷

As you can see, I’m currently on holiday. I will mostly be reading, sipping on cocktails and hiding from the sun.

Posts will still be going out and i will do my best to respond to messages but I might be slower than usual at getting back to people.

Healing a navel piercing? Let’s talk about what’s normal and what you should expect.

In the first few days, it’s completely normal for your piercing to be a little tender, swollen or warm. You may also notice some redness around the piercing site.

During the first few weeks, you will probably notice a clear or pale yellowish fluid that dries into a crust around the jewellery. This is a normal part of healing. Gently clean it and avoid picking or removing the crust.

It’s important to remember that healing isn’t always linear. Your piercing may look and feel great one day, then become a little irritated the next. It can settle and flare up throughout the healing process, especially if it gets caught on clothing or knocked.

Be patient! Navel piercings can take 6–12 months (or sometimes longer) to fully heal. Just because it looks healed doesn’t necessarily mean it has healed completely

Try to avoid tight clothing rubbing against the piercing, unnecessary touching or twisting the jewellery, and swimming while it’s still fresh.

When should you be concerned?
Increasing pain, significant swelling, spreading redness, thick/foul-smelling discharge or feeling generally unwell aren’t typical healing symptoms. If you’re concerned about your piercing, please get in touch or seek medical advice.

Hi, I’m Beth! The face behind the piercings.

I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself to everyone.

I’ve been professionally piercing for over 8 years. I absolutely love what I do, and there’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone leave feeling more sparkly, whether it’s their very first piercing or they’re adding to a growing collection.

I work from Lumina Tattoo Collective in the heart of Malvern, where I focus on providing a friendly, professional experience in a clean, relaxed environment. I know getting pierced can feel nerve-wracking, so I always take the time to answer questions, explain everything clearly, and make sure you feel comfortable from start to finish.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me spending time with my boyfriend Matt, friends and family. I love travel, history, a good book and gaming. I’m also a big dog lover 🥰
