Metabolism set by factors including age, genetics, lean body mass to body fat %, s*x, ETC, isn't the first thing I'd go to for weight loss. I like to look at NEAT first (non exercise activity thermogenesis). This covers things like standing, walking about, going to and from work, (anything that isn't deliberate exercise and is more than being sat on your bum). It's about creating a health life style, not an exercise regimen fit for a member of special forces. start with stairs not lifts, making food, not heating up pre-cooked food, park further away from work, sit down less, walk the dog properly, and don't just take him up the street and back. No gym membership required here, and a good first step in LASTING change. Don't ask me about your zinc, and magnesium levels, and don't talk to me about the article on avocados you read online, until we have ticked off some basics. Control the controllable, and put first things first.🥑
