Inspirational Quotes for the Weekend

By Dr Charles Leyman Kachitsa

Starting from the time of creation, humans have had a life where they are given choices. We could go far back to the first man and woman created and the story is that they were given a choice to live in splendour and dominion as long as they do not go for the bad choice denied them which was leaving everything else they were promised, instead going on to eat the forbidden fruit. The rest of the story as you are aware takes us where we are in the world today!

Despite second chances, there is the tendency in human beings to go back to their own chosen settings. Such a choice normally takes on a cyclic pattern as it leads to relief for a short time but more often gets back to the original condition. Some quarters stated that humans love their pain, love those painful experiences. Deeper understanding and enlightenment is required for one to keep afloat on the pane of the original purposed life as the creator intended for all living on this earth, the ‘promise’.

All is not lost as life continues to be open, giving the same choices as were there before. It only needs a people to open their own eyes and be receptive to the high powers above constantly edging us to stop and rethink, stop and re-imagine. Imagining what a better world will look like in a garden full of life and encouragement to live fully dominant. In the end there are only two choices in any situation on earth, light or darkness.

The quotes for this week are taken from a book narrating the transitions of some African nations from the undocumented period on to the times others have claimed they had discovered them. It shades light on some of the questions people ask on how these countries have turned to the status they are now. I am sure the few chosen quotations listed below from the book will enlighten you to one or two life lessons. Read and enjoy:

Strategic Environmental Analysis in the Automobile Industry: The Role of External Forces in Shaping Operations

Kachitsa, C.L. et. al. (2026). Strategic Environmental Analysis in the Automobile Industry: The Role of External Forces in Shaping Operations. International Journal of Management and Business Development, 3(02), pp.6-16.

The rapid global shift towards electric vehicles has altered the competitive and operational landscape of the automobile industry in profound ways. Firms now operate in an environment shaped by regulatory pressure, technological acceleration, geopolitical uncertainty, and shifting consumer expectations.

This conceptual paper examines how external environmental forces influence business operations within the electric vehicle segment, with a particular focus on Tesla, Ford, and Volkswagen. Contingency theory provides the foundation for the analysis, supported by the integration of PESTEL analysis, Porter’s Five Forces, and Key Success Factors. These frameworks allow for a detailed exploration of how political, economic, technological, social, environmental, and competitive conditions shape organisational choices.

The discussion highlights how external forces influence manufacturing systems, supply chain structures, human resource practices, financial performance, and technological strategies. Brexit, exchange rate volatility, regulatory changes, and the transition towards zero emission vehicles emerge as especially significant influences on operational decision making.

Each firm demonstrates a distinct pattern of response shaped by its legacy systems, strategic priorities, and technological capabilities. Tesla’s vertically integrated model, Ford’s restructuring efforts, and Volkswagen’s large-scale electrification strategy illustrate the varied ways in which organisations align internal capabilities with external demands.

The paper argues that effective organisational responses depend on the fit between environmental conditions and internal structures, reinforcing the relevance of contingency theory for understanding operational effectiveness in the evolving electric vehicle industry.

The analysis contributes to ongoing debates on strategic alignment, technological transformation, and the future of mobility, offering insights for scholars and practitioners seeking to understand how firms navigate complex and fast changing environments. Inspirational Quotes for the Weekend

By Dr Charles Leyman Kachitsa

That which shapes human character has to be discovered by self through deliberate processes from the time one is born. From the time a person is introduced to this world, they begin to influence their surrounding starting with the conduct and direction taken of their parents or guardians which has to take account of another being whilst before they did not have such responsibility.

What shapes us is more than the people around us within our reach, but also society in general and the nation which extends to the happenings in the world at a particular time one is alive.

Character is shaped by ones surrounding environment, ones experiences, foresight and the willingness to knowing that which is not known. All of course depends on the culture one is born in which places what has to be valued as the upper most things in informing character.

Most importantly if one is enlightened, would know that knowing ones purpose on earth through foresight is the key to getting it right in shaping character. Your purpose on earth determines how you shape your character.

Otherwise, without knowledge as the Bible states, people perish. It therefore remains for you to pray for that which enable one to have foresight, to have discernment which leads to knowing that positive purpose which is hidden.

Inspirational Quotes for the Weekend

By Dr Charles Leyman Kachitsa

Every nation has a spirit and this is a representative of all the cultures within that nation. And as you know culture encompasses the beliefs in people and in the case of nations, this is the sum of the beliefs of all the tribes, classes, religions and all subcultural groups of the nations. Depending on that belief, some nations take on a connotative religious belief identity and at the basic level it is easier for people to make association of what that might entail on behavioural expectations and values for instance whether Christian or Islamic or Hinduism.

The spirit of a nation gives its values. Thus it appropriately would highlight the values, the most human attributes that are given much focus by the nation. In others words it defines what the expected values in terms of people’s behaviour, the accepted norms and what people put a blind eye on are. It is in such that nations are distinguished from those that have progressed to greater heights versus the ones that are still struggling to find their feet and or discover what their true spirit is.

Unfortunately for most developing nations, their spirit is dead. In fact countries that took control of other nations start the process by killing their spirit, their true identity. It is only by killing the spirit of a people, their values, that they are easily subdued. This means development of a nation is a simple formula, discover and or awaken its spirit and a nation will wake up on to the path of progress. Without knowing, most nations education systems and other systems prevent such reawakening. This is why we have a lot of the so called ‘independent’ nations still sleeping on their laurels (riches) awaiting some messiah to point them on to the right direction of where their spirit lies. And so the battle continues of who has seen it (wachiona ndani?), until we find that spirit within us.

The quotes this week are taken as a continuation extraction from a book that has practical tips for living a happy fulfilled positive life. I am sure the few selected quotations from this book listed below will enlighten you to one or two life lessons. Read and enjoy:
