Are you dreaming of a safe, straightforward birth with little intervention? Did you know that WHERE you give birth actually hugely influences HOW you give birth?
Perhaps someone mentioned homebirth to you but you dismissed it, or thought, no, not for me, we've got *insert life circumstance here (the dog, the house renovation etc etc)*. Or maybe you thought "isn't that dangerous"?
We now have stacks of evidence that homebirth is not only really safe for most mums and babies but actually reduces the chance of things going wrong or needing medical intervention. One of the best studies was published in top medical journal The Lancet in 2020 and studies data from over 500,000 women. They found that for all birthing women/people, interventions were reduced, and more so if not your first baby.
