Back to school is an important time to think about your child’s asthma, as asthma symptoms and exacerbations can increase during this period.

REMEMBER to:

💊 Make sure your child takes their preventer inhaler every day as prescribed.
🏫 Ensure school has a spare reliever inhaler, spacer (if needed), and an up-to-date asthma action plan.
📋 Check that your child’s school has all the information they need to support their asthma.
You should be able to request these from your GP. If you don’t have everything you need, please book an asthma review as soon as possible.

It’s World Asthma Day 🌏🫁 and as always, we are proud to be supporting the campaign.
It’s something that we feel passionately about - and forms a big part of our role as asthma educators.
The theme this year is the need for people with asthma to have access to anti inflammatory inhalers, in order to treat their asthma.
So, how can we achieve this?
