⭐️ Take the pressure off ⭐️
⭐️ If you have spent a few months focussed on training for an event, and then you do the event, it’s easy to feel guilty afterwards when you take a break
⭐️ But it’s ok to take a break! Train when you like, or even miss a few sessions, go off plan, just rest, whatever you fancy
⭐️ Your brain and central nervous system NEED A BREAK!
⭐️ I’ve spent 6 months training for a marathon and a 50k trail run (that were within 3 weeks of each other 🤦🏼♀️), and I’ve got another marathon in October.
Do I feel guilty for currently only training 2-3 times a week? Yup
But do I really care? Nope
I know the training plan will kick back in in a month, so I’m going to give myself some grace and train for happiness, not pressure or guilt 💜
It’ll also help me continue to recover and help reduce injury risk 🥳
