Don't forget to have your say on the proposed school food standards for England.

Children deserve good food.

We need better than we currently have.

Have your say. Please also say what you don't like about the standards.

Last week I had the pleasure of speaking at the annual discourse - an annual event which brings together Registered Nutritionists to share their experience working in practice.

This year's theme was all about AI and I shared how many of my clients are using AI, some of the challenges of this and the way I have had to adapt my service to ensure they are getting the best possible nutrition support.

I take ethics very seriously. My use of AI is limited and transparent. People come to see me in clinic not just to hear what AI thinks. It does have its uses but it definitely doesn't replace a professional.

What do you use AI for?

Thanks for hosting the event

15 years of Porter Nutrition!

It's been a journey

I have loved working with a range of different organisations and individuals. I have tagged a few of the organisations.

If you have benefited from my work, do let me know in the comments.

Here's to the next 15 years.

Thanks to my biggest cheerleaders. You know who you are!

Why did a nutritionist who promotes wholemeal options end up buying a whole lot of white bread this week?

Because I couldn't get cheesy topped rolls or finger rolls in wholemeal.

I would like to see this changed.

Yes, I could have made my own. We make most of our bread using flour from in our bread maker and love it. But I don't always want to make my own (I didn't want the oven on for bread rolls in hot weather for a start).

And yes, it's ok to have white bread sometimes but I believe it should be a choice.

Could offer other varieties? (And the other supermarkets of course but I shopped at Aldi today)

Consistent messages are key.

Loved this response from Naga on this morning to the news that tariffs on biscuits and chocolate amongst other foods would be reduced to help with the cost of living for families.

I'm not anti biscuits and chocolate BUT when we are saying children should eat less of these foods in their nursery and in their schools, why can't we have joined up thinking.

Why I didn't answer your emails today....

I was in the park! I chair the Friends of Old Moat Park. I had the pleasure of organising an event today to open the brand new seating/performance space in the park which was funded by and .

Children from 3 local primary schools came for an interactive story time session led by the fabulous Cathy from . We provided a fruit snack, bought from Withington Fruit and Veg shop and the children all got to take a book home provided by Read Manchester.

Was wonderful to work alongside fellow volunteers and staff and staff. Thanks to too for the loan of the gazebos and tables and Withington Library for being out wet weather option.
