People we support at Radcliffe Lodge - Tegan, Tom, Syed, Catherine, Michael and Claire - enjoyed a brilliant day out at the coast, travelling on the coastliner bus to Scarborough with staff.

The group made the most of their time by the sea, enjoying fish and chips for lunch, spending time on the slot machines, and even dipping their toes in the sea. It was a great opportunity to get out and enjoy a relaxed day together in the community. Everyone said they had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to the next trip out! ☀️

Located in Accrington, Lancashire, Milnshaw House offers 24/7 enhanced supported living for adults with mental health needs, alongside support for people with learning disabilities, autism and associated conditions.

The service provides a safe, welcoming and therapeutic environment with 14 ensuite bedrooms, a spacious communal kitchen and dining area, comfortable lounge spaces, an activity room, private outdoor space and dedicated meeting rooms, helping the people we support feel settled, supported and at home.

Our clinically informed approach, delivered by specialist nursing and compassionate support teams, empowers people to build confidence, develop everyday life skills such as cooking and budgeting, and work towards personal goals, including employment and greater independence.

One of the people we support at Merchants House recently enjoyed two fantastic food outings with staff, continuing a love of trying new restaurants.

On the first trip, they visited Nando’s. The outing was enjoyed in great company, with plenty of conversation and smiles throughout. The day ended with a Costa coffee treat, including a kind gesture of treating the staff too. Another recent outing saw a visit to a local pie restaurant, another opportunity to make the most of time out in the community.

Staff shared that the person we support regularly expresses thanks for the opportunities to explore new places to eat. It’s clear that food outings like these are about more than meals.
We’re looking forward to seeing what restaurant gets discovered next! 😊

As Pride Month begins, we're proud to see our services coming together to celebrate inclusion, diversity and the freedom for everyone to be themselves.

At Moss Lodge, Linda, our Activities Champion Support Worker, has been working hard to create a vibrant Pride display, decorating the lounge and updating the service's PROUD Box. The display reflects the service's commitment to creating a safe, welcoming environment where people feel supported to express their identity with confidence.

Meanwhile, at Milnshaw House, staff members Nergis and Nina have refreshed the service's PROUD Box in recognition of Pride Month. The team is looking forward to celebrating throughout June, with plans to attend a local Pride event featuring community activities and opportunities to come together in support of inclusion and acceptance.

People we support at Radcliffe Lodge, Stan, Michael, Catherine and Tegan, recently enjoyed an energetic afternoon of garden activities, including a fun boxercise session.

The activity gave everyone the chance to get moving, release some stress and, most importantly, have plenty of fun together. Activities like these help promote wellbeing, physical activity and social connection while creating positive experiences for everyone involved.

The people we support at Hyde Park House recently enjoyed a trip to Cannon Hall Farm. The visit was inspired by a desire to see the farm's adorable new baby piglets, and it certainly didn't disappoint!

Chloe and Jason had a great day together, spending time with the animals and enjoying a meal at the café. Chloe shared, "I enjoyed going out with staff support and buying some items from the farm shop." She even treated herself and her best friend to matching friendship necklaces. Chloe also spoke about her ambition to one day complete a veterinary course, a wonderful goal that reflects her passion for animals.

Jason said, "I enjoyed seeing the animals the best and enjoyed the food in the local café." We're delighted to support people in pursuing their interests!

Recently, Montgomery House had a fantastic time hosting a garden party to mark World Schizophrenia Day. The day was filled with delicious food, music, games and plenty of opportunities for everyone to come together and have fun.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the activities, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout the day. A special mention goes to Nathan, a person we support at the service, who worked alongside staff to bake cakes for the event. Nathan shared, "I have enjoyed putting the skills I've been learning into this activity."

Creativity was in full flow across our services recently 🎨

At Glen Garth House, the communal space was filled with friendly competition as people we support spent the afternoon teaching each other new card games and building a custom Lego car together. It was a real shared effort, with plenty of conversation and connection.

Over at Radcliffe Lodge, Catherine, Debbie and Tegan enjoyed a relaxed cup painting session, taking time to get creative, chat together and design their own personalised pieces to take pride in. Take a look! 👉
