One of the things I love most about Shiatsu is how adaptable it is. 💚

Traditionally, Shiatsu is given with the receiver lying on a futon (a mat on the floor), but every person is different, and every treatment can be adapted to suit their needs.

In this photo, I'm giving Shiatsu on a massage table. During the pandemic, I met clients in the park, where they relaxed on a picnic blanket in the sunshine. I've also given Shiatsu to clients in their 90s while they rested comfortably in their own beds.

And perhaps the most unusual location of all? An airport bench!

The setting may change, but the intention remains the same: to create a space where you can relax, reconnect, and support your body's natural balance.

Wherever you are, Shiatsu can meet you there. ✨

Receiving shiatsu is a big part of shiatsu training!
Education in holistic bodywork can be relaxing, embodied, reflective and enjoyable. We can learn how to pay more attention to the subtle things we experience as we pay attention to our bodies, and as energy moves.
