While complete elimination without medical intervention isn't always possible, holistic lifestyle approaches, such as gradual weight management, resistance training, hydration, and targeted nutrition, play a crucial role in supporting skin health and elasticity.

Understanding Dumping Syndrome 💙

Dumping syndrome is a group of symptoms that can occur when food moves too quickly from the stomach into the small intestine, especially after consuming foods and drinks high in refined sugars and carbohydrates.

While it's more common in individuals who have undergone a gastric bypass compared to a gastric sleeve, the symptoms can vary from mild to severe and may happen immediately or hours after eating.

In some cases, medications or revision surgery might be considered if symptoms persist.

Always consult your healthcare team or bariatric surgeon for personalized medical advice.

Robotic surgery has become an important part of modern upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery.

While it isn't the right option for every patient, the technology can offer important advantages in selected procedures by providing enhanced visualisation, precision and dexterity.

The key question isn't whether surgery should be robotic, laparoscopic or open — it's which approach is most appropriate for the individual patient.

Have you ever wondered what the robot actually adds during surgery?
