If I’m honest, when Thursday evening rolls around there’s often a little (sometimes big!) part of me that would happily stay home and get in my PJs...

And yet, every single week, I leave feeling peaceful, grounded and ridiculously grateful for this community.

There’s something really special about this class.

Maybe it’s the cosy studio.
Maybe it’s the gentle Thursday evening energy.
Maybe it’s the lovely, supportive group of humans who show up each week and create such a welcoming space.

We move, breathe, stretch, build strength, we pause and exhale the week out of our systems.

It’s the perfect reset before the weekend begins. A chance to arrive exactly as you are and leave feeling lighter.

Come get involved, every BODY AND MIND welcome!

Thursdays | 7–8pm

📞 Your Monday nervous system called. It wants yoga.

Sometimes the kindest (and most rebellious!) thing we can do for ourselves is just pause.

To step away from the to-do list, the constant doing, and give ourselves space to breathe.

That’s what I love about my Monday lunchtime class at in Cheadle. We stop the Monday madness and we slow things down...

We move mindfully, breathe deeply, stretch out any tension, and create a little more space - both physically and mentally.

Then comes that beautiful post-yoga feeling - if you know you know.
(And if you don’t know, more reason to book your spot today!)

We feel clearer.
Lighter.
Grounded.
More joy from the simple things.
A little kinder towards ourselves (and others).

A much softer way to move through your Monday.
(And bonus, that to-do list feels much more do-able in the post yoga state!).

Join me for your lunchtime reset - in the studio or from your own home in Zoom.

🕰️12.15pm - 1pm

What if yoga wasn’t about touching your toes… but how you live your life? ✨

My Monday lunchtime class at and Thursday evenings at are about more than just movement…

Did you know that yoga isn’t just the asana (the postures) - it comes from an ancient framework called the ‘Eight Limbs of Yoga’ (from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali - 2,500 years old!).

And right at the beginning of the Eight Limbs are the ‘Yamas and Niyamas’.

Five of each, not rules, not something to be perfect at. But gentle guidelines to explore how we live and feel our way through these precious lives.

The yamas are about how we show up in the world (ethically, morally, socially) and we practice them in class by:

• choosing kindness over self-criticism (ahimsa - non-violence)
• being honest, without beating ourselves up (satya - truthfulness)
• loosening the grip of comparison and judgement (aparigraha - non-attachment)

The niyamas bring it inward as personal guidelines:
• finding contentment, even in the messy bits (santosha - contentment)
• showing up for yourself when motivation wobbles (tapas - discipline)
• taking moments to pause and notice what’s really going on (svadhyaya - self-study).

In class, this isn’t something I lecture on or we overthink…

It’s something you feel, through grounded movement, breath, and space to just be.

Returning to yourself. Over and over again.

There’s something really powerful about hearing how people feel after class 💚

These are just a few recent words from the lovely people who come each week, and they fill my heart!

If you’ve ever felt like:
– yoga isn’t for you, or
– you’re not flexible enough
– but you know you’re carrying stress in your body... drop the pressure, drop the expectation and come give it a go.

Everyone is welcome at Rooted Soul Yoga.
Classes at Red Sky Yoga, Yoga Sangha Manchester and David Lloyd Trafford.

👂 What if you couldn’t hear what your body was trying to tell you?

Our bodies are constantly sending signals; things like hunger, thirst, breath and heart rate (stress), pain or fatigue. The ability to notice and understand these signals is called ‘interoception’.

For many autistic people, interoception can work differently... Body signals might be faint, short or long term delayed, or difficult to understand, which can make recognising physical needs or stress harder. And that can result in overwhelmed nervous systems!

In my 1:1 yoga sessions with Sally, a Manchester artist who is autistic and lives with POTS, we’ve recently been exploring how yoga can support her interoceptive awareness.

Through slow movement, breath awareness and moments of stillness and meditation, yoga creates space to notice subtle sensations in the body. Over time this builds a clearer relationship with those internal signals. And a happier nervous system.

It’s a thoughtful, curious practice and always an absolute privilege to support 🧘🏽‍♀️

Huge thanks to for wanting to share her journey with yoga 🙏🏼

Your yoga practice should make you stronger in real life.

Not just flexible on a mat.

I teach strong, steady yoga that builds resilience in your body and nervous system. This isn’t about touching your toes.

It’s about building strength 💪
Connecting to your breath 🫁
Regulating your nervous system 🧠
Standing taller in your work, your family life, your world! 🙌

My classes are strong, steady and supportive. You’ll be challenged, but you’ll also be held.

If you’re ready to feel more powerful in your body and calmer in your mind, come practise with me.

Schedule above - booking in the bio.
Let’s go 💚🙏🏼💚

✨ Huge thanks to Jimmy Wightman ✨

Four evenings. One mantra. Plenty of science and philosophy… and a new meditation practice I actually look forward to each day!

Last week I completed ‘Deep Calm’ with Jimmy from Delve Deep and it was a genuinely brilliant short course. Across four evenings, myself and some friends from my yoga teacher training explored transcendental meditation, working with a mantra in a way that felt powerful yet effortless. No wrestling with thoughts, just a soft, steady descent beneath the surface chatter.

We also explored the Vedic belief system that underpins the practice, the fascinating science of meditation and nervous system regulation, the philosophy of nondualism and what indeed enlightenment is! Ancient wisdom backed by modern research, all pointing toward the same quiet truth.

I really loved the sense of simplicity. The practice isn’t about controlling the mind. It’s about allowing it to settle without any pressure on what comes up.

The benefits of regular meditation are profound and proven... it reduces stress in the body, improves focus, improves sleep, regulates the nervous system, and even positively impacts blood pressure, immune function and the aging of your cells! On a deeper level, it cultivates resilience and a just greater sense of ease and joy.

If meditation has ever felt like hard work, or you’ve thought “I’m not very good at this”, I’d really recommend exploring Jimmy’s work. It’s very accessible, grounded and transformative.

🧘🏽 Have a look at what he’s offering at 🙏🏼

(I didn’t attempt to take a photo of me pretending to meditate in my lounge, so here I am in the water, which is the other place that has a strongly meditative effect on me! 💦)

🎉 I’m really excited to share that I’ve become an Associate with 🎉

This means will be referring some of their clients to me for yoga therapy, and I couldn’t be happier to be working alongside such a skilled, thoughtful and child-centred physiotherapy team.

Today I spent time with them at their offices in Ashton-under-Lyne, where I led a yoga session for their staff during a team training day. We also had space to talk about the work I do, the clients I support, and how yoga therapy can complement physiotherapy to support nervous system regulation, confidence, mobility and overall wellbeing. It felt really important that they could get a genuine feel for how I work, who it might benefit and I got chance to understand more about what they do.

Tots2Teens do incredible work supporting babies, children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities, and I’m really delighted to now be part of their wider support network.

This new relationship feels like a lovely alignment of values and shared purpose! 🙌
