The Salford Stop Smoking Service is holding drop-in sessions at The Limes Medical Centre in Walkden, with 12 weeks of free support available to help you quit smoking for good.

Support includes free quitting aids such as:
✨ Ni****ne replacement therapy
✨ Stop smoking medication
✨ An e-cigarette

The chances of developing prostate cancer are higher for men or people with a prostate who are:
• black

• have Jewish heritage

• or have a family history of prostate, breast or ovarian cancer.

If you fall into one of these groups you should speak to your GP to discuss your risk. You may also decide to ask for a PSA test.

A cough could be nothing serious but, if it is cancer,
it’ll be easier to treat if we spot it early.

Ovarian cancer is the 6th most common cancer in women in the UK and 7,500 people are diagnosed every year.
Anyone of any age with ovaries can develop ovarian cancer although it is most common during and after the menopause

Ovarian cancer does have symptoms:

feeling bloated
tummy pain
feeling full quickly
weeing more often.
Remember if you have these symptoms persistently your GP wants to hear from you.

Don’t skimp on suncream! If it is applied too thinly, the amount of protection it gives is reduced. Make sure you apply plenty, and don’t forget the face, neck, ears and head.
