A great reflection from our Dermatology and Women's Health event in Birmingham.

The day brought together healthcare professionals from across primary care for practical clinical education, meaningful discussion and real-world learning across two important areas of everyday practice: Dermatology and Women's Health.

From common dermatological presentations in general practice to menopause and wider women's health, the sessions focused on practical knowledge that. clinicians can take directly into their patient care.

We were delighted to have Dr Aaliya Goyal chair the day, bringing her experience and perspective to the discussions and helping keep the programme focused on the needs of primary care professionals.

Dermatology and Women's Health brought together healthcare professionals from across primary care for a full day of practical, clinically grounded learning, held today in Birmingham.

The day covered dermatology presentations that come up regularly in general practice, alongside menopause and women's health, two areas that deserve far more dedicated attention than they usually get in a busy clinic schedule.

Healthcare professionals spent the day working through real clinical scenarios together, sharing perspectives across roles and taking away insights they can apply straight into practice.

With thanks to Dr Simon Tso and Dr Sidra Hasan for their sessions, and to Dr Dr Aaliya Goyal for chairing the day and keeping the discussion sharp throughout.

Pharmacy First is entering a new phase. 🩺

has confirmed the expansion of Pharmacy First this autumn, bringing new pathways and an increased prescribing role for community pharmacists.

With pharmacist independent prescribers delivering the new pathways, this development represents another significant step in bringing more care closer to patients through community pharmacy.

The scale is significant too, with 2–3 million consultations per year expected across the new pathways once fully rolled out.

For pharmacy professionals, the coming months will be an important time to understand what these changes mean in practice.
