Sometimes God lets the soil burn before He brings the harvest. 🌿🔥

Look at this photo. It looks completely dead, scorched by intense heat. Human eyes see devastation. But God’s design sees restoration.

​In Leviticus 25:4, God instructed His people to let the land rest every 7 years. Why? Because soil that is constantly worked loses its strength. Rest isn't lazy—it’s replenishment.

​Even when heat or fire scorching a field looks like destruction, nature shows us a quiet truth: fire clears out the dead brush, enriches the soil with ash, and makes room for deeper, stronger roots to emerge (Isaiah 61:3).

​What does this have to do with witnessing?

​As Adventist believers, we often run ourselves ragged trying to "do" ministry, share truth, and reach others—forgetting that effective witnessing starts with a soul that is rested and spiritually restored in Christ.

​If you feel burnt out, dry, or stripped back right now, God isn't done with you. He is preparing the soil of your heart for a greater harvest.

The Eclipse - East London🌔🌖

Yesterday 12 Aug 2026 on my way home from the and Festival in Barking at aound 19.02, the sky began to shift with the eclipse, everything in view appeared of darker shade, there were a lot more shaddows, car lights turned on and standard city pacing became slower.

I met a science teacher who had handcrafted two quick protective cardboard viewers. He shared how he made them.

Within minutes, a group of about five of us were taking turns looking through the two custom pieces, chatting, and sharing genuine laughs. (Shoutout to Jaz, another teacher in the group, and a huge thank you to both of you for making the moment so welcoming!)

Seeing people pause, connect, and collaborate so effortlessly over a natural phenomenon was incredible.

Last week, was hit by a brush fire.

Seeing the scorched ground was heartbreaking, but fire is also nature’s way of making room for new life. 🌱

​It got me thinking: how often do we see a bad situation, a failure, or a breakdown, and assume that’s the end of the story?

​Over the past year 2026, I’ve faced personal losses and total overwhelm. But instead of letting the fire consume me, I used the ash as a stepping stone:
✨ Reached out and re-connected with people
✨ Helped others (and let myself be helped)
✨ Attended networking events
✨ Published my book 📚

​If your business is failing, if your life feels overwhelming, or if you’re standing in the middle of a personal "brush fire", take a breath.

​Storms pass. Fire clears. The burn isn't the end of your story; it's the reset.
