🚗 Full-Time Community Support Worker Required – Join Aura Supported Living Ltd 🚗

We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Full-Time Support Worker to join our growing team, supporting adults in their own homes and out in the community across Mansfield and surrounding areas.

Essential Requirements:
• Full UK driving licence
• Own reliable vehicle (travel between calls is required)
• Previous care/support experience
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to undergo a DBS check)
• Caring, reliable and professional attitude

What you'll be doing:

- Supporting people to live independently in their own homes
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Supporting with medication, meal preparation and daily living tasks
- Taking people into the community, appointments and activities
- Promoting independence, dignity and choice

🌟 We have some fantastic news to share! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to announce that Aura Supported Living Ltd has been awarded an overall GOOD rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication and compassion of our amazing team, who work tirelessly every day to provide safe, person-centred, high-quality care and support.

We are also delighted to share that our Director, Chrissie Glean, has now officially been registered by the Care Quality Commission as the Registered Manager for Aura Supported Living Ltd.

Chrissie will now continue leading Aura in her roles as Director, Nominated Individual and Registered Manager, providing consistent leadership and maintaining our commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.

Achieving a Good CQC rating alongside completing the Registered Manager registration marks a significant milestone for Aura, and we couldn't be prouder of how far we've come.

We'd like to thank our incredible staff, the people wo use our service, their families, and the professionals we work alongside. Your trust, support and belief in Aura mean the world to us, and we look forward to continuing to grow and provide the compassionate, high-quality support that every person deserves.

Many of you know me as the Director of Aura Supported Living, but outside of my role in care, I have another passion that is very close to my heart.

Alongside my partner, Jodeci, we've created Runic Wings an educational experience combining our love of birds of prey with Norse mythology and Viking history.

This Sunday 19th July, we'll be attending our very first public event at the Blidworth Summer Festival, and we'd love to see some familiar faces there!

If you're looking for a fun family day out, come along, say hello, meet our amazing birds, and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

Running Aura will always be my priority, but I think it's important to have passions outside of work too. Runic Wings is ours, and we're incredibly excited to finally share it with everyone.

We hope to see some of our wonderful clients, families, staff and supporters there! 🦉⚔️

We're pleased to have completed our CQC assessment and feedback meeting. While we now await the formal report, we're incredibly encouraged by the positive feedback received. The inspector recognised the commitment our team has shown and the improvements we've already implemented, alongside the fantastic feedback from both our staff and the people we support.

Continuous improvement has always been at the heart of Aura Supported Living, and we'll continue striving to provide the highest quality care every day. Thank you to our amazing team, our clients and their families for your ongoing support. 💙

🌿 Investing in Our Team’s Wellbeing 🌿

Today at Head Office, some of our amazing support workers took part in a breathwork session with Sean – and what a fantastic experience it was! 😊

There was plenty of laughter, lots of giggling, and a few surprised faces as everyone tried something completely new. Sometimes it's important to step back, take a breath, and focus on our own wellbeing.

Working in care can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be demanding. We recognise that life outside of work can bring its own challenges too. That's why we're committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our team, because when our staff feel valued, supported, and cared for, they are able to deliver the very best support to the people we work with every day. 💙

Following today's session, we're delighted to be offering additional 1-to-1 wellbeing sessions with Sean for every team member who attended, giving them dedicated time to focus on themselves and continue developing positive wellbeing strategies.

A huge thank you to Sean and everyone who joined in and embraced the experience. Here's to looking after ourselves as well as we look after others! 🌟

This May, one of our amazing team members at Aura is taking on The May 50K to raise funds for MS research 💙
Multiple Sclerosis is something that affects someone we support, so this challenge is incredibly close to all of our hearts. We see every day the strength, resilience, and determination it takes to live with MS and we want to do our part to make a difference.
Our colleague will be walking, running, and moving 50K throughout May to help fund vital research and support for those living with MS.

Today marks one year since we said goodbye to our dear Alice 💛

Alice will always hold a special place in Aura’s heart as our very first client. Even now, we still find ourselves sharing her stories, remembering her strength, her warmth, and the incredible life she lived.

At 96, Alice had experienced so much, from her proud dedication to the Salvation Army to living through the Second World War. She carried her history with quiet resilience and a spirit that inspired everyone around her.

But more than anything, Alice was family. She became a grandmother to us all, and it was an honour to support her, to laugh with her, and to simply be part of her world.

A year has passed, but she is never far from our thoughts. Her legacy lives on in the care we give and the compassion we continue to share every day.

Forever remembered, always missed.
