With the heat wave we've been concentrating on keeping hydrated and cool so today with had some delicious refreshing summer fruit smoothies to encourage our residents to drink more fluid. The residents really enjoyed them.

Two of our lovely gents had a trip to Mansfield on Wednesday. They went to the Swan for a delicious pub lunch then on to Masnfield Library for singing with friends where they sang amongst others to familiar songs. Afterwards we had a walk around the shops and finished with a refreshing drink in Mc Donald's. The gents had a lovely time socialising with the public and one another.

Yesterday we also did flower arranging on both floors. We had a beautiful array of flowers with different colours and scents. Our residents enjoyed the sensory stimulation and arranging the flowers in to vases to put around our home bringing the summer indoors.
