15 Years of Gemini Exclusive Care
and 1 Year with our Registered Manager at our Mansfield Branch.
It is amazing how fast and slow time moves.
This year marks 15 years of Gemini Exclusive Care, and also marks 1 year since our Mansfield Branch Registered Manager joined the service.
In care, time is measured differently. It is measured in the people we support, the families we reassure, the staff we develop, the challenges we overcome and the small moments that remind us why this work matters.
To celebrate this milestone, we had cake and sat down with our Mansfield Branch Registered Manager to reflect on her first year, what leadership means to her, and what makes Gemini Exclusive Care special.
Q: How would you describe your first year as Registered Manager at Gemini Exclusive Care Mansfield?
My first year has been a journey of learning, leadership and growth. It has been both challenging and rewarding, because care is not just about systems and paperwork. It is about people. It is about making sure the people we support feel safe, respected and listened to, while also supporting staff to feel confident, valued and clear in their roles.
Q: What has been the biggest lesson from your first year?
The biggest lesson has been that good care does not happen by accident. It takes consistency, communication, strong leadership and a team who genuinely care about the people they support. Every decision we make has to come back to the person receiving care and whether we are helping them live with dignity, independence and choice.
Q: What are you most proud of?
I am proud of the resilience of the team and the improvements we continue to make across the service. Care is always evolving, and I am proud that we are not afraid to reflect, learn and keep raising our standards. I am also proud of the relationships we have built with our clients, families, professionals and staff.
Q: What does 15 years of Gemini Exclusive Care mean to you?
Fifteen years is a huge achievement. It represents commitment, trust and the ability to keep going in a sector that is not always easy. It shows that Gemini Exclusive Care has continued to serve people, support families and provide care that makes a real difference.
Q: What is your hope for the Mansfield Branch moving forward?
My hope is that we continue to grow with purpose. I want the Mansfield Branch to be known for safe, person-centred care, strong staff support, good communication and a culture where people feel respected. The aim is not just to provide care, but to provide care well.
As we celebrate 15 years of Gemini Exclusive Care, we also look ahead with gratitude, ambition and renewed commitment.
Here is to the people we support, the families who trust us, the staff who show up every day, and the journey still ahead.
Happy 15 years to Gemini Exclusive Care. May we always be small enough to care and big enough to cope
