One of the great tragedies of modern healing is that we’ve created an entire culture organised around the endless management of experience.
And we believe that at the end of all this effort and constant doing-to the content of our experience, we will finally discover the peace and freedom we long for.
An entire generation becoming increasingly sophisticated at managing experience while remaining fundamentally bound by it.
But no amount of self-improvement can free the self that believes itself to be incomplete.
No amount of healing can satisfy an identity organised around constant becoming.
And no amount of managing experience can liberate the one whose entire sense of self is built upon the need to manage experience.
🌹My work does not help you become better at controlling, fixing, managing, regulating, releasing, or optimising the contents of your experience.
Nor does it offer more sophisticated strategies for the self to continue its endless project of becoming.
My work is the loving and precise dismantling of the conditioned filters through which we have learned to perceive ourselves, others, and reality itself.
The inherited ways of knowing yourself and the world that keep you busy rearranging the furniture in the same room.
The entire architecture through which the past continues to recreate itself in the present.
Because true freedom is never found through better management.
🌀It appears as we outgrow the consciousness that made management seem necessary.
