Today, one of our lovely residents spent time in the café singing along to a much-loved song from years gone by. As the familiar words and melody returned, so did the smiles and special memories connected to them. ☺️

We had the pleasure of celebrating Sheila's birthday with her family, fellow residents, and our wonderful team, and what a fantastic day it was!🥳

The room was filled with joy, laughter, and lots of happy memories as we came together to make Sheila's day extra special.

A special thank you to Natalya for arranging the celebration and our chef, Steff, who baked a beautiful birthday cake just as Sheila requested. 🎂 It looked amazing and tasted even better!

Our residents enjoyed a lovely pottery session, creating heart-shaped pieces and imprinting beautiful flowers into the clay. Now we’re waiting for them to dry, ready to paint and decorate in our next session! 🎨

Meaningful activities like these encourage creativity, self-expression, social connection and a wonderful sense of achievement. Most importantly, they bring joy and create special memories together.

What a fantastic afternoon we had at our Taste of Home summer celebration! We enjoyed delicious Welsh, Irish, Scottish and English treats from the WISE & Friends Food Stall, alongside flavours from other countries around the world. 😀

With live entertainment, homemade cocktails and mocktails, plus the wonderful support of our local Market Harborough Sea Cadets, there was plenty to enjoy! 🎶🍹

It was lovely to welcome so many friends and families of our residents, as well as members of our local community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon so special!

This morning, we were delighted to welcome Adele back for just our second session Dancing Memories with Adele, specially tailored for residents living with dementia. 💙

It was such a joy to see smiling faces as everyone reminisced to familiar tunes, sang along, and joined in with gentle dance movements and exercises. Music has a wonderful way of bringing back cherished memories, lifting spirits, and creating meaningful moments of connection. We can't wait for the next one! 😀

Every last Thursday of the month, Natalya hosts a lovely Knit & Knatter session here at our care home, and we're delighted to welcome more and more regular knitters from our local community as we would like for our circle to grow!🧶

Today, our residents enjoyed taking part in our brand-new activity, Weekly Sparkle, led by Charlotte from our wonderful Lifestyle Team. The morning was filled with fascinating facts, uplifting news, and plenty of engaging conversation. Residents shared their thoughts, memories, and opinions, making it a truly interactive and enjoyable session.

There's nothing quite like enjoying the fresh air and beautiful sunshine in our garden. ☀️

To celebrate the excitement of Wimbledon, our residents spent a lovely afternoon outdoors, enjoying delicious scones with fresh strawberries and cream, accompanied by refreshing Pimm's. 🍓🥂

It was a wonderful opportunity to relax, chat, and soak up the summer atmosphere together. A perfect way to celebrate this iconic British tradition!

What a fantastic day we had celebrating the World Cup at our care home! We were delighted to welcome the wonderful players from Harborough Town Football Club U21s for a very special visit. It was heartwarming to see the young players spending quality time with our residents, creating smiles, laughter, and lasting memories together.

The team brought along their trophies and shared highlights from their football season. Residents also enjoyed taking part in a World Cup-themed football quiz, watching some impressive football skills and tricks, and even taking penalty shootout!⚽🏆

We were incredibly grateful to receive a special medal from the club as a lovely keepsake from the day.🏅

A huge thank you to everyone at Harborough Town Football Club U21s for making the visit so memorable. We look forward to welcoming you back for many more fantastic visits in the future!
