Picnic & Pimm’s Garden Party

The sun was shining, the Pimm’s was flowing and the garden was definitely the place to be today! 🌸🍓

Our residents were joined by family and friends for a fabulous afternoon of good food, great company and plenty of laughter.

The wonderful Jane kept us entertained with her fantastic singing, and there may even have been a few residents showing us their best dance moves! 💃🕺🎶

A gorgeous afternoon of sunshine, music, laughter and memories… and let’s just say, the Pimm’s didn’t stand a chance! 😂🥂

🦋 Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful day connecting with nature by taking part in the Big Butterfly Count. We spent time chatting about butterflies, relaxing with beautiful butterfly-themed mindful colouring, and harvesting our homegrown potatoes while keeping our eyes peeled for fluttering visitors in the garden. 🥔🌼

🎉 Our lovely Eileen turned 100 yesterday - we know she doesn’t look it 😊🎂🥳

We celebrated in style with music from Helen and Nigel on their piano accordions, a delicious cake made by our chef, and plenty of smiles all round. We’re not sure what Eileen’s secret is, but we suspect cake and good music might be involved! ❤️

🥂 Happy World Gin Day! 🍋✨

Our residents enjoyed a fun and refreshing gin-inspired mocktail making session today, creating their own delicious alcohol-free drinks using non-alcoholic gin. After mixing, stirring, and adding their favourite garnishes, everyone sat back and enjoyed tasting their creations together.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and cheers all round as we celebrated with a mocktail twist! 🍹💚

Some of you may have spotted a rather delightful Bridgerton-themed event being advertised on our digital reception screen for 6th June.

As much as we’d love to be hosting an afternoon of Regency elegance, tea and scandal, this event is actually taking place at Brendoncare Otterbourne, not here at Froxfield.

We’re not quite sure how it made its debut on our reception system, but we’re looking into it. In the meantime, we wanted to apologise for any confusion or disappointment this may have caused.

😊 Happy National Smile Day! 😊

Today our residents shared what makes them smile, from happy memories and family moments to favourite hobbies and plenty of laughter. They also got creative, drawing their own smiling self-portraits and celebrating the joy a smile can bring.

To add to the fun, we enjoyed reading a wonderfully cheerful smile poem by Spike Milligan.

After all, smiles are contagious—so here’s one from us to brighten your day! 😄💛
