🦶 Still struggling with a stubborn verruca?

Tried freezing treatments, pharmacy remedies, or years of "just waiting for it to go away"?

At Michelle Reynolds Podiatrist, we offer Swift® Microwave Therapy – an advanced treatment designed to help your body's immune system recognise and fight the virus that causes verrucas.

Unlike many traditional treatments, there are:

✅ No dressings
✅ No need to keep the foot dry
✅ No lengthy recovery time
✅ Minimal interruption to your daily activities

Treatment takes just a few minutes, and many patients choose Swift when other verruca treatments have failed.

We can even treat warts on the hands and under the nails with Swift!

Whether your verruca is painful, embarrassing, or simply refusing to disappear, we can assess your options and see if Swift® is right for you.

⭐⭐This post is more directly aimed at podiatrists and medical/healthcare professionals who follow my page, rather than patients. Although I am sure it will be of interest to many patients who are curious about the conditions we see as podiatrists and assessments we undertake! As well as what Michelle gets up to when she isn't in clinic 😃⭐⭐

Misdiagnosis of foot melanoma in patients is a frequently reported issue.

Myself and colleagues have recently published a paper proposing a new acronym to promote awareness of melanoma masquerading as foot ulceration.

Please take time to read the blog (which also contains a link to the free published paper in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research) on Ivan's website here:

www.foot.expert/post/ulceracronym

And remember, be suspicious of any non healing wound. Although rare, melanoma of the foot can masquerade as many other conditions. Recognition of suspicious features, such as unusual characteristics of the lesion, longevity despite treatment, and lack of the typical features associated with diabetic foot disease, such as ischaemia and neuropathy, should prompt the clinician to undertake a biopsy to rule out malignancy, including as melanoma.
