🎒☀️ SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ARE HERE! ☀️🎒
Six weeks of…
“Muuuuum!”
“Daaaaad!”
“Can I have…?”
“Can we go…?”
“I’m hungry!”
A house that starts to resemble Hansel and Gretel, with food trails everywhere 🍞🍪
Footprints from children running in and out of the house, playing with neighbours and charging across the grass…
Dirty food prints on the floor… and somehow up the carpets too! 🤦♀️
Enough food in the house to feed the five thousand 🍕🍎🥪
And at least a dozen cups of tea made, only for a mouthful to be drunk from each one before they go cold! ☕😂
Oh, it’s all fun and games!
Some people absolutely love the six-week school holidays.
Others can really struggle.
And I’m not going to lie… I’m one of those people who can struggle with them too.
Not every business closes for the summer. Self-employed people still need to work and hopefully, when you love what you do, working can bring a lot of fulfilment and satisfaction.
I’m usually very good at putting my phone away when I’m with people. Sometimes it even gets left in the car! 📱🚗
And most of the time, I’m proud of myself for having that balance.
But during the school holidays, there are definitely days when the boys are playing while I’m trying to catch up on emails, squeezing in a business meeting, or responding to a client who needs a little holiday pick-me-up…
Or someone whose health is deteriorating and needs my help with a vitamin injection.
It’s a juggle.
And as much as I love my children dearly, I think that come September, we will all be ready to get back into the swing of everyday routines! 😅
Because routine is important.
For some people, routine provides structure, stability and a sense of control.
I know that I need routine.
Without structure, I can really feel like I’ve gone off track — and it’s not a track I enjoy being on!
So, if you’re feeling a little apprehensive about the school holidays, please know that you are absolutely not alone. ❤️
There are so many families who struggle during the holidays, even if they don’t publicly announce it.
Behind the perfect social media photos, there may be tired parents, overwhelmed parents, parents trying to work, parents trying to entertain their children and parents simply trying to get through the day!
And that’s okay.
My boys and I have lots of adventures planned over the next six weeks, along with plenty of cinema trips 🎬🍿
There are so many good animations out at the moment, so I think we’ll be spending quite a bit of time there! 😂
And I’m still here too.
✨ Vivré Cheshire remains open throughout the summer holidays ✨
I’m still here to help you with your treatments, wellbeing and those much-needed moments of time for yourself.
I’m still around…
Just juggling. ❤️
