Everyone's farewell can be exactly what they want it to be.

Today was a lovely example of how personal a farewell can be.

An ashes interment at a peaceful natural burial ground, followed by a warm celebration of life at a beautiful hotel.

There isn’t one format that fits everyone. What matters is creating something that feels right.

🤍Feeling nervous on your wedding day doesn’t mean anything is wrong.

💡It usually means the moment matters.

🫶You may notice shaky hands, emotional tears, a fluttery stomach or a racing heart and all of that is completely normal.

🤲The best thing you can do is slow down, breathe, hold your partner’s hand and remember that you won’t be doing it alone.

🤍A good celebrant will gently guide you through the ceremony, help you feel at ease, and make sure the moment feels calm, personal and true to you.

👗👔👚What colour should you wear to a funeral?

💡The answer is simpler than many people think: whatever feels right for the person being remembered.

🌸Some funerals call for black. Others call for colour, favourite football shirts, bright accessories, floral prints, sparkle, pink, or something wonderfully “them”.

A dress code can be a small but powerful way to honour someone’s personality, especially if they were full of colour, humour, life or flamboyance.

ℹ️There are no strict rules. A meaningful farewell is about love, honesty and representing the person as they really were.

Well… this is what happens when you let ChatGPT loose with a photo and the words “Met Gala”. 💗✨

Just for fun, I asked it to reimagine me on the famous Met Gala steps and apparently I’m arriving in full pink couture drama.

Not quite my usual celebrant outfit, but I have to say… I’m not against it.

What do we think? Should I keep this look for my next ceremony? 😉

Prompt I used:
