Summer Bank Holiday closure

The surgery will be closed on Monday 31st August.

If you need urgent medical care, you can access the Out of Hours service for advice, a face to face appointment or, if it is necessary, a home visit & the number to call is 111.

The surgery will reopen at 8am on Tuesday 1st September.

TARGET time

There will be no GP appointments available on Thursday 3rd September 2026 from 1pm in the afternoon so that our GPs and practice nurses can join the TARGET session.

If you need medical help you can use the normal Out of Hours service by dialling 111.

TARGET stands for Time for Audit Research Governance and Training. This programme has worked very effectively in other parts of Hampshire and the sessions are well attended as the GPs and practice nurses find it useful to set aside dedicated time to work with their colleagues from other practices.

An amber heat-health alert is in place across parts of England from today until 14 August.

During an amber alert, hot weather can put more people’s health at risk – not just those who are usually more vulnerable.

Older people, young children and people with existing health conditions may be particularly at risk.

Take extra care and look out for others who may struggle in the heat.

Temporary Receptionist Wanted for the Summer!

We're looking for a friendly, reliable temporary receptionist to join our team from now until mid/end-September.

What we're looking for:
✔️ Aged 18+
✔️ A quick learner
✔️ Excellent customer service skills
✔️ Confident computer skills
✔️ A positive, professional attitude

Hours:
📅 5 days per week throughout the summer
🕗 Shifts will vary between:
• 8:00am – 2:00pm
• 12:30pm – 6:30pm
(A combination of both shifts each week.)

This is a customer-facing receptionist role, so you'll be the first point of contact for our visitors and callers.
