MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK • DAY 6 Sorry it’s late…..
Ironically, while sharing a week focused on nervous system support, rest and emotional wellbeing… last Saturday my own body reminded me to slow down too.
I didn’t post because I was in bed with a migraine, completely burnt out and needing rest.
And I think that’s important to share.
Because burnout doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like pushing through.
Holding it together.
Continuing to give to everyone else while quietly running on empty yourself.
Even those of us who support others need moments to pause.
This week has been a reminder for me too:
that rest is not laziness.
That slowing down is not weakness.
And that our bodies will often speak long before we finally listen.
If you are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, exhausted, stretched too thin or simply depleted… please know you are not failing.
Your nervous system may simply be asking for care, compassion and support.
So tonight, let this be your reminder:
You do not have to earn rest.
You are allowed to soften too 🤍
