A Celebration of the Philippines

Wilton Manor held a special afternoon this week, to find out more about the culture of the Philippines. We had a wonderful time seeing our Filipino staff wearing traditional dress, listening to songs, sung by our carer, Nova, watching them perform a traditional dance and tasting a range of delicious, typical dishes.

Our residents and visitors all thoroughly enjoyed themselves - an afternoon to remember.

A lovely day for a picnic!

Our residents have really been enjoying the summer sunshine. This week, we had a picnic at Watermead park while taking in the beautiful nature around us.

Margaret wins world cup sweepstake!🏆

Nobody could have been happier at the result of the World Cup final than Margaret, who had picked out Spain in our World Cup sweepstake. Well done Margaret! 😍

Sun, Sangria and Paella - viva España!

Residents, staff and family members all came together to enjoy a Spanish fiesta in Wilton Manor's courtyard. It was a lovely, sunny evening and with the Sangria flowing, a range of delicious tapas and the smells of the paella wafting through the air, a great time was had by all.

Game, Set, Match!

Wimbledon has been extra special for Betty this year - her grandson, Liam Sharkey, is competing in the under 14s category. Fellow residents and visitors have loved joining a very proud Betty to cheer him on. Liam had won his first two matches and is through to the next round tomorrow.
