In psychotherapy you are encouraged to reflect on your inner conflicts and how to become more fully yourself.

To do this you need willpower and determination. But psychologically, there can be a challenge of bringing different parts of yourself into relationship, rather than allowing one part to take over.

The opposing forces within you may be:

- The part that wants to move forward.
- The part that feels afraid.
- The part that longs for change.
- The part that seeks safety.
- The part that says, “Keep going.”
- The part that whispers, “I cannot do this.”

Healing does not always mean silencing these parts.

Psychotherapy can offer a space to ask:

Who is steering my life now?
Is it fear?
Old conditioning?
The need to please?
A younger part of you still trying to prevent danger?
Or is there a more grounded, compassionate part of you beginning to choose the direction?

Moving forward is not force. There is a different kind of movement:

- Moving with awareness rather than urgency.
- Listening to your body rather than overriding it.
- Holding ambivalence without judging yourself.
- Making choices that honour your values.
- Allowing progress to include rest.

Ask yourself:

What am I moving towards?

What am I moving away from?

Which parts of me need to be heard before I take the next step?

What would a compassionate form of progress look like today?

You do not have to become a different person to move forward.

You may simply need to become more deeply connected with the person you already are. It’s not about conquering yourself. It is about learning how to travel with yourself.

Last night we had a team meal out. Not everyone could attend due to it being holiday time but we love to get together regularly socially for sharing and team morale.

Our socials always symbolise nourishment and connection, feeling seen, valued and bonding as a team.

Questions for you:

Who are the people in your life that feel like a team?

Who are the people whose recognition actually matters to you, and how does it feel in your body when you allow yourself to receive it?

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been nominated in three categories this year for the Melton Bid Business Awards: Health and Wellbeing, Professional Services and Lisa has even been nominated for Business Person of the Year!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who nominated us; it truly means the world to us.

What does it truly mean to be recognised and named “best”? It’s fascinating how something so fluid and personal like care and healing can manifest as a nomination or accolade. The very act of holding others, tending to unseen wounds and honouring inner worlds resists measurement. It exists in moments that defy quantification.

Having won the best health and wellbeing category last year, we see these nominations as symbolic gestures that signify something meaningful is happening here, even if it’s difficult to fully grasp.

Thank you once again. We remain humble.

We caught up with Simone behind the scenes writing her client notes.
Simone is a quiet observer of unseen patterns, the acupuncturist who listens beneath the surface, mapping the body’s story through subtle cues.
Simone doesn’t speak first.
She listens. Observes. Waits.
Not just for symptoms, but for patterns.
Behind every treatment plan, notes are taken not just from what is said, but what is held in the body.
This is the work: translating the unseen into care.

Our new window display features a Buddha in a jungle setting. This jungle symbolises everything dense overgrown and chaotic: overwhelming emotions intrusive thoughts old memories and confusing life circumstances. The Buddha here represents the realisation that you don’t have to wait for life to be tidy before practising awareness. You can simply sit amidst the tangle.
Enlightenment isn’t sterile; it’s mud vines storms and a calm steady presence amidst it all. Instead of fighting or fleeing difficult thoughts and feelings, sit with them observe them and allow them to pass. Witness them without becoming them.
To embody this symbolism consider:
Meditating as Buddha in the jungle: imagine sitting calmly while vines of thought and waves of emotion swirl around you. Each time a challenging thought arises notice it gently label it and let it pass.
Journaling: name three specific painful truths and then ask what each one is trying to show you that you previously refused to see.
