A very special farewell for a very special person.

We were honoured to provide our care and support on the day, alongside a truly unique hearse that reflected the personality, passions and memories of the person being remembered.

A beautiful celebration of a life lived and a person never to be forgotten. πŸ’™

πŸ’œ Mid-Kent team completes Moonlight Walk for Hospice in the Weald πŸ’œ

A fantastic team of Mid-Kent colleagues recently stepped out for a great cause, taking part in the Hospice in the Weald Moonlight Walk.

Samantha Wasmuth, Tansy Smith, Jayne Springate, Jennie Ollive, Amanda Mitchell and Chris Hatt, Area Development Manager, completed the 4-mile route, which started at Sevenoaks Rugby Club and took them through the beautiful surroundings of Knole Park.

The team works closely with Hospice in the Weald, an incredible organisation that provides compassionate care and support to families at the most difficult times.

Having seen the hospice’s work first-handβ€”both professionally and personallyβ€”they were proud to take part and show their support.

πŸ‘ Together, they raised an amazing Β£1,121!
πŸŒ™ Every step they took will help ensure more people receive the care they need.

Well done to the teamβ€”we’re all so proud! πŸ’œ

πŸ‘‰ Beating the heat for a great cause

Molly from Douglas Mercer & Son Funeral Directors recently took on a 5K run in 32Β°C heat – and what an effort it was πŸ’ͺ

So far, she’s raised an amazing Β£675 for four charities supporting bereaved families and those struggling with their mental healthβ€”causes that are incredibly close to what we do every day.

She also dedicated the run to the memory of a close friend, making the challenge even more meaningful ❀️

We’re really proud of her determination and the difference she’s making in her community.

πŸ‘ Well done, Molly

Our Marketing Director, Kelly Hailou, with Doug Smith from Mosaic PR and Ruth Nicholas, Editor of Funeral Service Journal, at this year’s National Funeral Exhibition β€” a great opportunity to connect with industry colleagues.

β€˜It was a fantastic event and a valuable opportunity to come together, share insights, and build relationships across the profession. Events like this highlight the importance of collaboration within our sector β€” creating space to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore how we can continue to support the communities we serve. A great reminder of the strength of our professional colleagues and suppliers’’

Last Saturday (23rd May), Funeral Partners was incredibly proud to support the Goals 4 GOSH event at Bromley FC as Principal Sponsor β€” bringing this inspiring journey to a fantastic close.
From when it all started back in 2021 to where it stands today in 2026, it’s been amazing to see how this event has grown. Already, an incredible Β£250,000+ has been raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital β€” a truly remarkable achievement that will make a lasting difference. Final totals from this year’s event will be shared once fully calculated.

A special thank you must go to Jamie Groves, our Divisional Performance Director for the East, and co-organiser Charlotte. What they have built together is more than just football β€” it is a legacy. Their passion, commitment and leadership have been central to this success.

Thank you as well to everyone involved over the years β€” from organisers and players to supporters and volunteers. The dedication and community spirit shown throughout has been outstanding.

Funeral Partners is honoured to have supported such an incredible initiative and to stand alongside those making a real impact.
Well done to everyone involved πŸ‘
