Electronic Prescriptions Now Available

From 29th July 2026, Practice 1, Keir Hardie has moved to Electronic Prescribing.

💊 What does this mean?
Your prescriptions can now be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy, meaning paper prescriptions are no longer routinely required.

✅ What you need to do:

If you have not yet nominated a pharmacy, please contact your preferred pharmacy as soon as possible to let them know you would like them to receive your electronic prescriptions.

✔️ Already have a nominated pharmacy?
No further action is needed.

Please note that today we are providing emergency GP appointments only. The practice will be closed from 1:00pm for staff training.

Please collect any prescriptions by 12:30pm today.

Please remember that we are a GP surgery providing primary care services and not an emergency service.

If you need urgent or emergency medical attention, please:
📞 Call 111 for urgent medical advice.
🚑 Call 999 in a life-threatening emergency.
🏥 Attend your nearest A&E department if appropriate.

We also kindly ask for your understanding that GP appointments are limited. Our doctors provide 10-minute appointments, and appointment availability is based on clinical need and capacity. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer appointments on demand or accommodate requests for immediate appointments when none are available.

We appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding as we work hard to care for all of our patients. Thank you for your continued support. 😊
