We have been made aware of road closures in Dowlais which may affect access to both Morlais Health Centres.
If you have an appointment today, please allow extra time for your journey and plan your route in advance where possible.

Unfortunately, our telephone system is currently down due to a technical issue.

Please be assured that this has been raised as a high-priority fault, and we are working with our provider to have the problem resolved as quickly as possible.

Due to staff sickness, our Troed Y Fan Practice will be closed from 3pm today.

Practice closure - Thursday 16th July pm only

The Surgery will be closed on the afternoon of Thursday 16th July 2026 from 1pm for clinical staff training which has been provided by Cwm Taf Morgannwg Heath Board across Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr.

From 1.00pm on the 16th July our telephone system will move to an automated message providing contact details for a covering GP team. This team will only be able to deal with urgent medical problems that cannot wait until the following day. They will not be able to deal with general enquiries.

Please remember that you should ring 999 for medical emergencies or 111 for NHS health advice.
The Surgery will be open as normal from 8:00am the following day, Friday 17th July 2026.
