Thought I’d reintroduce myself as there are quite a few new faces around here! 👋🌿
I’m Aaron Parker, founder of The Conscious Self.
I started this around 6 years ago from my own love of nature, meditation, breathwork and bringing people together. Since then it’s grown into something I honestly couldn’t have imagined.
We’ve now welcomed over 10,000 people to our events, retreats and saunas, worked with some incredible locations and organisations across the North, built a community I’m incredibly proud of, and I’ve even had the chance to share what we do on Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes twice! which still feels a bit mad.
We’ve gathered in forests, beside lakes, around fires and under the stars. Some events have been beautiful sunshine, others sideways rain and us wondering what on earth we’re doing. 😂
But the reason I started this hasn’t really changed.
I want to help people get outside more. Slow down. Connect with nature, with themselves and with each other.
Life gets bloody busy. We work, worry, scroll and constantly think about what’s next. Sometimes we just need a few hours in the woods, a sauna, a fire, some cold water, a proper conversation or simply a moment where there’s nowhere else we need to be.
That’s what I want The Conscious Self to create.
And you don’t need to be “spiritual”, into wellness or know anything about breathwork.
You just need to be human.
I want this to be a community for people from all walks of life. Somewhere you can have new experiences, meet good people, reconnect with nature and hopefully leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.
A sense of belonging… to nature, to ourselves and to each other.
More nature. More community. More connection. More joy.
And hopefully, in our own little way, helping people lead more conscious, joyful and connected lives.
So if you’re new here, hello 👋 I’m Aaron.
And if you’ve been coming to our events for years, thank you. You’re a huge part of why The Conscious Self has become what it is.
We’re still building, still learning and still getting wet in forests. 😂🌲
Here’s to wherever we take it next. 💚
