I received a beautiful surprise — flowers from a family whose loved one’s funeral service I had the privilege of leading — and I’m feeling truly overwhelmed with gratitude.
Being invited into such tender and significant moments in people’s lives is something I never take for granted. To walk alongside families in times of loss, to listen to their stories and to help create a service that reflects the life, love and legacy of someone so precious is both a responsibility and a profound privilege.
Every family I meet leaves something with me — a story, a memory, a glimpse of a life well lived. I so often come away feeling humbled by the love people carry for one another, and learning something new.
Receiving kind words, thoughtful messages, or gestures like these flowers means more than I can easily express. It reminds me that what we do for one another in difficult times truly matters.
Thank you to all the families who place their trust in me. It is an honour to help tell your stories and to create space for remembrance, reflection and love. 💐

Today I had the privilege of leading the funeral service for Linda — someone I was lucky enough to know through work. It was a real honour to be asked, and also a reminder of how difficult it can be to hold that role when the person you are remembering is someone you’ve known personally.

I’m deeply grateful to have known Linda, and to have been able to help create space to remember her life. She was a special person, and today was both humbling and meaningful. Holding in my thoughts all who loved her and will miss her 🤍
