At Mini First Aid, we are incredibly proud to support Children's Burns Trust, whose work over the last 25 years has helped educate families, prevent life-changing burn injuries and provide vital support to children and families when the unimaginable happens.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, some of the Mini First Aid network is taking on a fundraising challenge throughout August.

Together, franchisees and trainers from across the UK will walk the distance from Mini First Aid HQ to the Children’s Burns Trust HQ - an amazing 150 miles. Every step we take will help raise awareness of burns prevention, first aid and the fantastic work of the Children’s Burns Trust.

Throughout August you can expect:

🚶 Updates from our 150-mile challenge

💚Opportunities to donate both online and at classes, with every penny going directly to the Children’s Burns Trust

💚As a Mini First Aid trainer, I know just how quickly a burn can happen and how important it is to know what to do in those first crucial moments. If, together, we can help prevent even one child from suffering a serious burn or give one parent the confidence to act, every step will have been worth it.

Our challenge today, and we’d love you to come along on the journey. Whether you donate, share our posts, join one of our classes or simply help us spread these life-saving messages, you’ll be making a difference.

⚠️ Save this post as a reminder that the main sign that your baby or child is choking rather than gagging is SILENCE.

If your child is gagging, you will usually hear them trying to clear their throat or the back of their mouth.

If your child is choking, there is a blockage in their airway, and they cannot make any noise.

I had another fantastic day teaching our Baby & Child Class to a wonderful group.

I would like to extend a big thank you to the lovely group who joined me for a relaxed Baby & Child First Aid class at Saxon Hall in Raunds. The class equipped them with the knowledge & Skills needed, along with plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice. By the end of the session, everyone had gained the confidence and skills that could one day save a child's life.

Scottish and Northern Irish schools are out, and with the rest of the UK following in the next few weeks, this means having lots of fun in the sunshine at home and abroad! ☀️
