One of the greatest burdens of chronic pain isn't always the pain itself. It's the loneliness.

Reflecting on my clinic today, after nearly 30 years of working as a Consultant Health Psychologist with people living with chronic pain, one theme comes up again and again.

"I feel like no one really understands."

Many women tell me that, over time, pain has quietly shrunk their world. They stop saying yes to social invitations because they're worried they'll have to cancel. They find it difficult to explain why they look "fine" but feel exhausted.Friends and family often mean well but don't fully understand what living with persistent pain is really like.

Eventually, many women begin to feel isolated—not because they want to be alone, but because living with pain can make staying connected incredibly difficult.

Yet we know that social connection is one of the most powerful protective factors for both physical and psychological wellbeing. Feeling understood can reduce stress, build confidence and remind us that we don't have to navigate difficult days alone.

That's one of the reasons we've created our free online webinar, Introducing the Pain Reframe Retreat.

Alongside Larissa Clarke and Jacq Emkes, we'll be exploring:

✨ Why chronic pain affects far more than the body.
✨ How the nervous system influences pain.
✨ Practical, evidence-informed strategies that can help.
✨ The importance of connection when living with persistent pain

Most importantly, it's an opportunity to meet other women who simply get it.

If you live with chronic pain—or know someone who does—we'd love you to join us.

What If This Summer Was Different?

What if this was the summer you stopped waiting for your pain to disappear before living your life?

What if, instead of asking, How do I get rid of my pain?"

you began asking, ‘How do I build a meaningful life alongside it?’

That shift changes everything.

The Pain Reframe Concept isn't about pretending your pain isn't real.

It isn't about positive thinking.

And it certainly isn't about being told to "just get on with it."

It's about understanding what's happening in your body and nervous system...

Finding safe, meaningful movement...

Connecting with women who understand...

And rediscovering hope.

If you're tired of feeling that life has become smaller because of pain, I'd love you to join us.

Ladies -does your life feel smaller than it used to because of chronic pain?
You keep going.
You smile.
You tell everyone you're "fine."
But underneath...
You're constantly calculating.
"Can I manage that meeting?"
"Will I pay for this tomorrow?"
"What if my pain flares?"
Little by little, pain can begin making decisions for you.
Not because you're weak.
Because your nervous system has been working overtime for far too long.
It doesn't have to stay this way.
I'm delighted to invite you to a FREE online webinar introducing the Pain Reframe Concept—a different way of understanding persistent pain that is grounded in science, compassion and hope.
During this one-hour session you'll discover:
🧠 Why your nervous system plays such an important role in chronic pain.
💚 Why understanding pain differently can reduce fear and help you regain confidence.
🤝 Why living with pain can feel so isolating—and why connecting with women who truly understand can make such a difference.
🚶‍♀️ How meaningful movement can help you rebuild trust in your body without pushing through pain.
🌿 You'll also discover the philosophy behind the Pain Reframe Retreat, a unique day created to help women reconnect with themselves, their confidence and their future.
You'll also meet our wonderful team:
