Hypnotherapy helps by working with the automatic patterns in the brain and nervous system, so that you can feel calmer, more in control and confident over time.

Everyone is different so the first thing we do is understand more about the underlying reasons for the anxiety in the first place.

Feel free to ask any questions, or get in touch to find out more about how hypnotherapy can help you.

Have you ever been curious about hypnosis and wondered who is really in control?

The reality may surprise you. Hypnosis isn't something that's done to you. The person creating the change, is you.

In reality, changes happen when your own mind becomes an active participant, as you engage your senses and imagination with positive intention.

Most people feel deeply relaxed during hypnosis, but you don't have to be completely relaxed for it to be effective. It depends on what you want to achieve and the type of hypnosis we're using.

Self-awareness really is the key to self-mastery, and hypnosis helps you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, giving you greater choice over how you respond.

Whether you're looking for inner calm, increased confidence, more motivation or healthier habits, hypnosis helps you develop the mindset to support the life you want to create. At the same time, your subconscious can begin to let go of old patterns and discover new ways of responding, making positive change feel more natural and automatic.

🌸 Is there something you've ever wondered about hypnosis? I'd love to answer your questions in the comments.

Therapy Online – Zoom Your Way to Wellbeing 😀

One of the questions I'm asked often is:
"Does therapy on Zoom really work?"

It's a great question—and one I hear regularly.

In this short video, I explain why online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions for many people, along with some of the benefits.

If you've ever wondered whether you could really connect with a therapist through a screen, this video is for you.

Therapy on Zoom can feel natural, relaxed and convenient, fitting easily around work, school, family life and other commitments.

I'd love to know your thoughts - and feel free to ask any questions.

Back to work today after a wonderful holiday in beautiful Dubrovnik, feeling rested, refreshed and ready for whatever is coming my way. ☀️

For many years I've often thought, life is short. Recently, though, I've changed my mind.

Life is long.

What we think, what we do today, and what we repeat tomorrow and the next day can have a profound impact on the quality of our health and wellbeing for years to come.

Living in the moment is wonderful. Being mindful of the present is important. And it's equally important to consider the life we want to be living in the future.

That's why I often remind myself that your brain is always learning.

Every thought you repeat, every emotion you dwell on, and every reaction you have strengthens a pathway in your brain. The more often you repeat something, the more automatic it becomes. That's the power of neuroplasticity.

That's why stress can become a habit.
So can confidence.
So can calmness.
So can self-belief.
And so can the daily choices that give you the best possible chance of staying healthy, strong and independent for many years to come.

The good news is that your brain can change throughout your life, no matter how old you are.

When you intentionally practise new ways of thinking, responding and behaving, you begin to strengthen new neural pathways. Over time, they become your new normal.

Every thought and every action is moving you either towards or away from the person you want to become.

So today, ask yourself:
What patterns am I strengthening?
Are they taking me closer to the life I want to create, or quietly keeping me where I've always been?

Small changes, repeated consistently, create remarkable transformations.

Have a wonderful day. 💖

Reiki Therapy Experience

During a Reiki healing session today, my client described seeing waves of deep indigo blue light which appeared almost instantly, feeling calm, spacious, and soothing, like a quiet night sky filled with peace.

Then she described how soft green light began to drift and flow, moving like a silk scarf in a warm breeze, folding, floating, and rippling gently around her, bringing a feeling of comfort, harmony, and quiet healing.

And from within it all, a radiant golden light emerged - bright and sparkling like living stardust, shimmering like a soft firework of light, expanding in delicate waves through the space around her.

She said the colours seemed alive, moving with grace and intelligence, always flowing, always soothing, surrounding her in a feeling of warmth, peace, and loving presence.

People experience Reiki in different ways - as warmth, colour, light, emotion, deep relaxation, or a sense of peace and connection. Every experience is truly unique.

Have you ever experienced anything similar? I’d love to hear your story.

Feel free to contact me for more information, or book a Reiki experience for yourself.

For many of us, it’s go-go-go throughout the week and Saturday is a day to recharge, catch up with self-care and return to balance.

If you’ve been carrying the weight of responsibility, some thoughts and emotions can feel heavy. Often, what helps most isn’t doing more, it’s about taking a little pause, checking in with yourself, and coming back to basics.

Here are three simple ways to ground and centre yourself this weekend:

1. ☺️ Remember to breathe
Pause for a moment… and take a slow breath in through your nose… and a longer breath out through your mouth. As you exhale, drop your shoulders, relax your jaw, let your body sink into the surface supporting you. Repeat. Even just a few minutes like this can begin to steady your nervous system and bring a sense of calm.

2. 💙Ground yourself
Step outside if you can, feel your feet on the ground, notice the air, the light, the sounds around you. Let your eyes gaze into the distance and expand your awareness.

Or simply place your hand on your heart, and feel that quiet rhythm within you, connecting with a sense of love for someone or something in your life. Take your time. Stay with it for a couple of minutes.

This brings you out of the busy mind, and back into the present moment.

3. ☝️Choose one small supportive action - just one thing.

Not everything has to be solved today. Some questions can’t be answered today. Ask yourself - what is one small thing I can do that would support me right now?

It might be a walk, a glass of water, a kind word to yourself, a phone call to a friend, or simply resting and enjoying some time to do nothing at all.

🥰 Resilience builds when we allow our nervous system to feel safe. Small consistent daily actions towards self-care can make all the difference.

You don’t have to do everything.
Sometimes resilience is found in the moments you stop, reset, and reconnect with yourself.

It’s Mental Health month. I just want to say thank you for showing up here.

Gratitude opens our hearts, regulates our nervous system, and boosts our immunity. This morning my heart is open for 5 reasons.

1. The sun is shining and it’s going to be a lovely day. ☀️
2. My beautiful Burmese cat, Snowy, is sitting next to me, purring. 😻
3. I’m meeting friends for a walk soon. 👯
4. I’m enjoying a lovely cup of tea ☕️.
5. I’m healthy and happy and lucky to be alive in this beautiful world. 🌍

What do you feel grateful for right now?

Have a wonderful day.

Self awareness truly is the pathway to self mastery.

If your mind has been busy or your body holding tension, this guided body scan meditation is a lovely way to slow everything down and restore a sense of calm and balance.

It’s a practice you can return to anytime you need to reset and feel more like yourself again… promoting better sleep, easing tension, and helping you think more clearly.

Great too for spotting automatic habits and pausing before reacting; becoming aware of the things you say to yourself in your mind; improving relationships and building confidence. In fact, mindfulness can be applied to anything.

Try mindfulness when eating a square of chocolate (or your favourite food) - it can enhance your enjoyment of the experience, helping you to notice the taste, the texture, the sheer bliss of the moment, slowly and deliberately, moment by moment.

I find it really useful too when I want to fall asleep - just taking myself through the practice systematically. I never get to the end - I always fall asleep somewhere on the journey.

I'd love to hear how you get on with Mindfulness.
