When you work with me as your Holistic Health Coach, whatever the goal you want to achieve, I will always look at how you sleep, how you manage stress and regulate your nervous system, how you eat, how you move your body, and how you connect with yourself, others, and nature.

This isn't because I'm nosy or want to know your personal business. It's because I see you as an interconnected system, where everything influences everything else.

🍏For example, let's say you want to lose weight. Understanding your sleep routine helps me understand how you function during the day. If there are eating habits you'd like to change, I need to know how much physical and mental energy you have to work on them. Poor or disrupted sleep can also influence both what you eat and how much you eat throughout the day.

The same applies to movement. How much you move,or don't move, can affect your weight, hunger, energy, and stress levels.
Equally, the way you talk to yourself and interact with others can influence your eating behaviours and your nervous system.

We're so used to separating everything into different boxes, but understanding how your body's systems, organs, and pathways communicate with one another is fundamental to creating long-term health.

As a Holistic Health Coach, I wouldn't be doing you any favours if I simply gave you a magic pill. 💊

If you're looking for a different approach to reach your health goal—one that's away from diet culture, one-size-fits-all plans, and quick fixes or over obsessing on numbers and data, then my health coaching service might be the answer.

📞Get in touch, you can DM or email me or book a 30 minutes discovery call and I'll tell you all about 😊.

🥖 Maybe there's a reason Italians never threw away stale bread...😅

In his book 'Breath', journalist James Nestor explains that our modern diet of soft, processed foods requires very little chewing.

Over time, he explains, this reduced chewing may contribute to underdeveloped jaws and facial bones, narrower airways, crowded teeth, chronic nasal congestion, sleep apnea, and a greater reliance on mouth breathing.
(I personally think that blaming only on soft food is a bit reductionistic...)

Anyhow, what does he suggest we can do?

🥕Eat more whole, fibrous foods that require real chewing: think carrots, apples, celery, nuts, and tougher cuts of meat.

🕹️Challenge your jaw muscles (even chewing mastic gum can help or eat stale hard bread I'd say 🥖🤣).

👃Prioritize breathing through your nose whenever possible.

👶Introduce a variety of textures early in childhood, when the jaws and airways are still developing.

Our ancestors chewed for hours every day ( think of roots vegetable).

Maybe it's time to give our jaws a workout again?

I like my stale bread even more now 🤣 but actually I'll tell you something more......in the last couple of years or so I even stopped having my green smoothie 🥬🍏 so often as I used to (and this without even having to read James Nestor's book), I realised I wanted to chew more those green leaves instead of drinking them.
So I have started adding them more often raw in a salad or lightly sauté them.

Anyway, have you read Breath by James Nestor?

What surprised you most? Or what do you think?

Your morning coffee... with a twist ☕🤎

I wish I could remember who originally shared this idea because I'd happily give them credit!

I have tried it myself and it’s very yummy!😋

If you're someone who regularly skips breakfast because mornings are hectic, but never skips coffee... this one's for you.

Think of it as your usual coffee, just with a little more nourishment.

Ingredients
🤎 3 tbsp full-fat Greek yogurt
🤎 1–2 tbsp chia seeds
🤎 1 tsp raw cacao powder
🤎 ½ tsp raw honey
🤎 1–2 shots of espresso

Method
Mix everything together until smooth, then refrigerate overnight. In the morning, finish with a dusting of cacao powder (for that tiramisu look!), or add coconut flakes or crushed nuts for extra texture.

The Greek yogurt adds protein, the chia seeds provide fiber and healthy fats, and the espresso does what espresso does best ☕
✨ It's a simple way to add a few more nutrients to your morning, and the combination of protein, healthy fats and fiber may help keep you satisfied for longer.

If you've been looking for a healthy breakfast you can prepare the night before, this one is definitely worth trying.

I always recommend enjoying it with a portion of fruit to make your breakfast even more balanced. 🍓🍌🍎

Have you ever turned your morning coffee into breakfast? Or are you firmly on team coffee first, breakfast later?

a new dance in the learning!

This is called Collegiate, it blends similar patterns from the Olympic Foxtrot but with a easy backwards step.

Love it! But loads of to refine there. Once I get confident with the main movements I'll adjust the details.

Love it, love it, love it! ❤️

📋 Your Posture Has Filed a Complaint.

🌿 It's Sitting Break Time!

If you've been sitting for a while, this Squat to Bow & Arrow is the perfect way to wake up your body.
One movement. Multiple benefits.

As you squat, you're strengthening your glutes, quads, and legs: the muscles that support your hips, knees, and lower back.

As you pull the band back, you're activating your upper back and shoulders, helping to counteract the rounded posture that often comes with hours spent at a desk.

✨ Why this move works:
✔️ Strengthens your legs and glutes
✔️ Improves upper back strength and shoulder stability
✔️ Encourages better posture by activating the muscles that support your shoulder blades
✔️ Challenges your core as you resist twisting
✔️ Combines lower and upper body into one efficient movement

🧠 Fun fact:
Most of our daily activities happen in front of us: typing, driving, texting, cooking...
Very few involve pulling.

That's one reason many people develop weak upper back muscles and rounded shoulders over time. Adding pulling exercises like this helps restore balance and build a stronger, more resilient body.

For women and men 35+, building strength isn't just about looking toned, it's one of the best ways to support healthy joints, strong bones, better posture, and staying active for years to come.

✨ If you've been searching for desk exercises, resistance band workouts, posture fixes, or quick strength exercises, this is your new go-to.

💬 Tell me... where did you feel it the most? Legs 🦵 or upper back 💪?

If you're ready to go beyond these 2-minute movement breaks and build real strength, DM me "STRONG" to find out more about my personal training and coaching.

🌿 Take two minutes for your body today... your future self will thank you.

The lost art of chopping.

Changing our eating behaviours for a healthier one, starts from how we relate with food.

From being curious where the food comes from, washing it and preparing it.

Noticing the colours, the smells, the textures, the flavours, feeling it in our hands.

We often talk about disregulated nervous system...

Well the ' rest and digest ' part of the autonomic nervous system, also called parasympathetic nervous system, it's the one that helps us digest the food properly, absorbs the nutrients and support the digestive functions (including bowel movements).

Imagine eating in a fast, distracted, mindlessly way as opposed to a more calm state...

This is what our grandparents and previous generations used to do more often than us. They used to take their time to prepare it and eat it.

It might sound a bit provoking telling you to slow down to prepare your food and to eat more slowly, especially if you are a busy mum but...

I would protect these micro moments as they help us regulate our nervous system from the busy day we have had.

Did you know that the parasympathetic nervous system gets activated by smelling, touching and preparing the food in a calmer state?

If we eat in a rush, perhaps pre-made food, and perhaps scrolling on our phones or perhaps while working on our computer (just a few examples), this won't help us in the long run.

So I invite you to chop more! 🥒🥦🥬🫑🍏🥑🫜🧅

Will you do it?

Let me know in the comments ♥️

As a personal trainer and as an active woman I value the power of deep stretch. I have always incorporated in my workouts routine since I was in my teenage years.

Sometimes I spend more time up to 1hour other times I do it very briefly, I just listen to what my muscles are calling for.

I do it at home alone on my mat or at the gym or in a yin yoga class or wherever I feel like.

It's just me and my body and there is so much freedom in what I can do.

I invite you to stretch a bit more, to keep the fluids moving, to keep a good range of movements around your joints, to also help you de-stress.

YOUR FASCIA AND YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM WILL THANK YOU. 💖

So here are some instructions:

1.pick one part of your body where you fill more stuff,
2.pick 1 stretch pose that you feel comfortable with
3. and keep doing it, repeat until you start to loosen up.

No perfection here, just mindful movement.

Take care ###

If you're in your late 30s or 40s and wondering why you're suddenly feeling more anxious, struggling with sleep, craving sugar, finding it harder to lose weight, or noticing your blood sugar is all over the place... you're not imagining it.

Perimenopause is a time of significant hormonal change, and chronic stress can make those changes feel even more intense.

One of the things I wish more women understood is that our body is always trying to protect us.
When you're under constant physical or emotional stress, it prioritises your stress response.
While this doesn't mean stress is the cause of all your symptoms, it can contribute to hormone imbalance, affect blood sugar regulation, and make you feel like your body is working against you.

This is why I talk so much about looking at the bigger picture.

Supporting your health isn't just about eating less or exercising more. It's about understanding how your hormones, nervous system, metabolism, sleep, movement, and nutrition all work together.

As a Holistic Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and NHS Type 2 Diabetes Coach, I help women over 35 connect those dots and create realistic habits that support their health, not just for a few weeks, but for the long term.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do isn't add another supplement, restricted fasting or diet or another extreme workout...

It's to slow down, reduce what no longer serves you, and give your body the support it's been asking for.

If this resonated with you: I currently offer a 4-session coaching package (for just £200- special price) for women who want support with perimenopause, stress, blood sugar balance without diets and strict routines.

Send me a message with the word BLUEPRINT and I’ll send the details.

I haven't put my skates for a whole month and I'm looking forward to going back this Sunday!

This video is a month old when I was trying to learn another dancing pattern....the so-called Olympic Foxtrot.

That day something has shifted...I relaxed a bit more and tried to slow down and start gliding a bit more.

Can't wait to see where all of this will take me.

It's a journey and I want to enjoy the process.
