With the hot weather today, we’ve been keeping things nice and relaxed with small get-togethers in the rooms and lounges, enjoying some films together. Mary Poppins and Little women.

Today, June and Joyce enjoyed a lovely trip down memory lane, reminiscing about their bowling days. Joyce had some wonderful photos of them and their friends, which brought back lots of happy memories and gave them plenty to chat and laugh about. 🎳📸💕

Spontaneous trip to Morrisons yesterday as we needed some new magazines and some fresh flowers for our tables. Pam chose the flowers and got herself some chocolate biscuits 😊

What a wonderful week we’ve had making the most of the sunshine and spending as much time outdoors as possible! ☀️🌿
We’ve been celebrating Afternoon Tea Week in the garden with plenty of delicious cream teas, while also enjoying a whole host of activities together. 🫖🍰🍓🥪
Over the past few days we’ve listened to music, enjoyed quizzes, reminisced about days gone by, watched the clouds, played Eye Spy and simply enjoyed chatting together in the fresh air.
Yesterday we turned up the fun with a little leg kicking and jazz hands to Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York — with everyone singing along! 🎶💃🕺 It certainly brought plenty of smiles and laughter.
Of course, we’ve also enjoyed some lovely quieter moments, listening to music, having a chat or getting lost in a good book. 📖🎵
It’s been a lovely week filled with sunshine, laughter, music, memories and togetherness. 💕

Our household activities included folding napkins and washing, then outside for a tidy up and plant the rest of our flowers. Pam worked especially hard sweeping all the paths and weeding.

Our baking this time, was Pams suggestion of coconut cake. We had fun making it, and it was eaten by everyone. A good choice for sure. Next time Dorothy has suggested we attempt bread. Garlic bread to be exact 😁
