If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, support is available.
Open Mental Health is Somerset's mental health alliance, providing access to a wide range of support services for adults, including wellbeing support, peer support, housing and benefits advice, specialist mental health services, and crisis support. Their aim is to ensure people get the right help at the right time, with support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you contact the surgery with one of the conditions that can be seen by pharmacy first, you will initially be signposted to a local pharmacy to be seen under an NHS scheme.

The Somerset Linked Data Platform is a secure system that will anonymously link health and social care data to support population health management. It will build a complete view of our communities’ health and wellbeing needs, and these insights will help prevent illness, tailor care, and predict health needs.

You can help to free up GP appointments by visiting a pharmacist if you have any of the conditions below and in the eligible age group

Community pharmacies in Somerset can help with seven common conditions including those we see an increase of in winter (earache, sinusitis and sore throat) offering advice and prescriptions. You don't even need an appointment, and many of them have private consultation rooms.

We are running clinics at both sites from October onwards. Please contact us or use the NHS app to book your appointment. If you do not wish to have the vaccine it is just as important to let us know.

You are eligible on the NHS to have the vaccine if you:
- Are aged 65 or over (including those who
will be 65 by the 31st March 2026)
- Have certain long-term health conditions
- Are pregnant
- Live in a care home
