Way of Mindfulness Walk&Talk Therapy

Way of Mindfulness Walk&Talk Therapy Hi, my name is Belinda, I specialise in outdoor walk&talk therapy. (Adults: 18+) I currently offer in-person sessions either indoor/outdoors and also online.

I work with clients wanting to make sense of experiences such as traumatic life events, internal struggles and navigating 21stC living. Hi, my name is Belinda, I work with Adults (18+yrs) and I specialise in indoor/outdoor therapy. I work with clients wanting to make sense of experiences such as traumatic life events, internal struggles, recovering from experiences in earlier life, finding a way t

hrough challenging life changes, or developing coping strategies to navigate stressful living in the 21st century. I will offer you a safe and confidential space to support you in making sense of your feelings, thoughts and experiences and work with you towards achieving your goals. I am BACP registered integrative therapist, with 12+ years experience as a practitioner. I specialise in working in the outdoors in walk & talk therapy; as a qualified Walk Leader (Lowland Leader through the Mountain Training Association); a qualified Mindfulness Teacher (Mindfulness Association approved teacher) and previously worked for 15+yrs in the field of complementary therapy (Aromatherapy, Shiatsu and TCM). I have found that, in the same way that indoor therapy offers a space where we explore aspects of our own nature, so the outdoors can offer an alternative space in nature, where we might feel more in tune with this process. Working in this way, we use not only the benefits of being in nature, but also we work with our responses to nature and the shape and feel of the landscape that we’re walking through or sitting in. Working in this way insights arise into the nature of past or current experiences and relationships. My in-person sessions are currently running out of Loggerheads, near Mold in Flintshire on Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays and Fridays.

I love this work - and am passionate about what I do - it genuinely feels like such a privilege to walk alongside people on their journeys. But what do my clients say? Here are some words from a few recent clients...

What do you think?

You don't have to hit rock bottom before therapy is worth it.

In fact, more people are choosing therapy than ever before.

Our latest research shows nearly three-quarters of people who've had therapy found it helpful and most would recommend it to someone else.

That's a positive shift! Asking for support shouldn't be a last resort. It should be a normal part of looking after ourselves.

Good news, here's yet more proof that being in the outdoors can change lives! I was so thankful to be the trauma therapist involved with this amazing project with The Wallich from the outset. It started in 2021 and is still going. The Wallich's outdoor project's instigator, Grant Hyatt helped set up a research link for this innovative work, with the University of Lancashire and you can read the report from the post link below....

What if getting outdoors could help rebuild lives? New research with the University of Lancashire shows that adventure-based activities, from hiking and climbing to kayaking and camping, can significantly improve mental health and wellbeing for people experiencing homelessness.

Through a 10-week programme in North Wales, participants reported:
- Improved confidence and sense of self
- Reduced anxiety and substance use
- Stronger relationships and a renewed sense of hope

One participant described gaining “better confidence and a drive for life.”

This is the power of connection to nature, to others, and to possibility.

At The Wallich, we’re proud to be using innovative approaches like this to break the cycle of homelessness and support people to move forward.

I've not posted for a while - I've still been out there, walking alongside my clients though and I just wanted to show you how the woods are looking, sounding and feeling at the moment.

What would it feel like for you to feel supported through that "difficult something" in this way? If you're curious and would like to find out more, please feel free to get in touch for an informal chat about how I might support you.

Out for some r&r on Moel Fenlli - one of my favourite hillforts in the Clwydian Range. It was one of those days when the weather wasn't that promising at the start, but once I got up onto the ramparts of the hillfort, the light show was entrancing...enough to invoke in me a sense of awe.

Hello there from today's office...This morning we had Temps of "Feels like" -2°, moderate rain and misty vistas and I was in my element. Moving in pace with my clients, their movement an outer reflection of their inner world, I attuned to this physical conversation between client, practitioner and environment. Feeling very "at home" in this way of working.
