One of our physios, Fiona, and Strathmore RFC player Ben are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro next month in aid of Student Minds! 🏔️🇹🇿

Fiona has been volunteering with Student Minds and Choose a Challenge over the last year as a Challenge Leader to recruit, lead and support a group of individuals taking on this incredible challenge alongside her. Fiona wanted to take this on to push herself both physically and mentally while raising funds for an amazing cause.

Completing this challenge while raising money for an important charity means a great deal to Fiona, Ben and the group, and they are incredibly grateful for any support that helps make a difference!

Earlier this month some of our pitchside physios and sports therapists were busy at the Mike McInally Hockey Festival in Dundee 🏑

They supported athletes competing in 60+, 65+ and 75+ who showed that age is just a number!

Bethany delivered a fantastic CPD workshop for our physios and therapists, covering neck anatomy, a wide range of pathologies, and evidence-based assessment and treatment options 📖

It was great to put our minds together, share ideas, and discuss different approaches to clinical reasoning and management 🧠 Sessions like these help us continue to develop our knowledge and ultimately provide the best possible care for individuals with neck pain, injuries, and conditions.

Thanks for putting together such an informative and engaging session Bethany! 🌟

✨ Meet Carly ✨
Carly has a passion for all aspects of rehabilitation. She enjoys supporting individuals through every stage of their recovery journey, whether that involves preparing for surgery, post-operative rehabilitation, recovering from injury, managing persistent musculoskeletal conditions, or improving mobility, balance, and confidence in those living with neurological conditions.
Carly’s interest in rehabilitation began whilst studying for a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science at Abertay University. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in strength and conditioning, exercise prescription, biomechanics, physiology, and the psychological factors that influence injury, performance, and recovery. She then went on to complete a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, combining her passion for movement and exercise with evidence-based clinical practice.
Alongside physiotherapy, Carly is qualified in Mat Pilates, acupuncture and dry needling, and sports massage therapy. She adopts an evidence-based, exercise-focused approach to treatment, tailoring rehabilitation programmes to each individual’s goals and empowering them to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health.
Carly works across our David Lloyd Clinic in Monifieth (Mon/Wed/Thur) and Strathmore Clinic at Inchmichael Park (Tues/Fri).

A huge thank you to Angus Physiotherapy for sponsoring a hole at this year’s Strathmore Rugby Golf Day.

Angus Physiotherapy are the trusted physios for Strathmore Rugby Club, helping keep our players moving, recovering and getting back on the pitch throughout the season.

Founded by Ruth, Angus Physiotherapy was created to raise the level of physiotherapy care available locally. Ruth has extensive experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, with a clear focus on giving people the tools to get better and stay better.

The team provide expert assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, supporting people with muscle and joint injuries, back and neck pain, sports rehabilitation, orthopaedic rehabilitation and general injury recovery.

Angus Physiotherapy operate from Strathmore Rugby Club at Inchmacoble Park, Forfar, as well as David Lloyd Leisure Club in Dundee, with Pilates classes also available across a number of local Angus venues.

As rugby players, we know how important good physio support is, so it’s brilliant to have Angus Physiotherapy involved in the Golf Day and continuing to support the club both on and off the pitch.

A massive thank you again to Angus Physiotherapy for their support. 👏
