A quick update as I haven't posted much recently as I have been very busy packing up our house.

We were supposed to be moving house today but frustratingly, due to a few niggles with the house deeds, we are stuck for the time being. This is, as you would expect not ideal as the uncertainty is very unsettling. I am also unable to work as the house is in chaos and everything from my treatment room has been packed away.

I have been trying very hard to stay calm and trust the process but at times, despite my best efforts, the stress does take over.

Hoping we will get an update soon. 🙏

If all goes to plan, which I sincerely hope it does, moving day is fast approaching.

The house is in turmoil.

One thing that really has hit hard is all the things that have been kept in cupboards and drawers that really should have been dealt with a long time ago. The "just in case" stuff, the chairs, crockery and glasses for the dinner party you never get around to having, the clothes that might fit better one day, the lovely gifts from kind family or friends that for whatever reason have been popped in a drawer or cupboard but slipped your memory. The list goes on and on.

So..... Big lessons on this journey called moving house. One of which is "stuff" ways you down for various reasons.

Let it go ! Long before you ever move house. Moving house is exhausting enough without having to make decisions about most of the items in your home. If you don't need it or love it start clearing. A few special things in a memory box is fine.

Feel liberated and lighter.

Less than three weeks until moving day and I will be bidding a fond farewell to my treatment room. If you would like to see it one more time before I set up in my new home please get in touch soon.

The boxes are mounting up. It's hard when you realise just how much you have in your house that you don't use, don't wear, keep "just in case". What do we keep ? What to we part with ? I read somewhere we spend the first half of our lives accumulating things and the second half getting rid of them.
