Castlegait Surgery will be closed Wednesday 2nd September from 1-6pm for Practice Learning Time

GP Practices throughout Tayside are committed to providing patients with the highest quality care. They participate in a number of Protected Learning Time (PLT) sessions throughout the year which allows them to provide access to training for the whole practice team.

Most GP Practices throughout Tayside will be closed for routine appointments between 1-6pm on Wednesday 2nd September to take part in PLT sessions.
Please be assured, access to urgent care for patients will continue throughout this time.

During those hours on GP practices will continue to be contactable by phone to access urgent care which cannot wait until the practice reopens the following morning or to make any future appointments or medication requests.

GP surgeries will resume their usual working hours again on Thursday 3rd September

Please can we request that if you are unable to attend / no longer need your GP appointment that you cancel it so we can offer the appointment to someone else.
Since the 1st July 2026 40 GP appointments have not been attended.
